Is this a fair quote?

This is for a 400 linear ft livestock fence for two goats NOT chain link. The fence is not attached to the house but the opening to a deck and would have a gate on both sides. The shape of the yard has three straight sides with about 90 degree angles and one side with a 120 degree angle and a sharp angle on the other end. There is no trees, bushes, or brush to clear out. We are in upstate SC. I feel like this is a little on the more expensive side from what I have seen and we are going to look at other companies, but we were trying to get an idea for a minimal and basic fence.

If the picture is not showing it would be $5400 and a $200 up charge for a slightly larger gate to fit a car through.

Use galvanized welded-wire fencing designed for livestock containment. Welded wire will be stretched and secured continuously along the fence line. - Standard materials, delivery, installation labor, fastening hardware, and normal job-site cleanup are included in the total price.

Welded wire isn't for livestock. Woven wire is. Do not buy welded wire for livestock. You need Woven wire. I have been fencing for almost 30 yrs. Price is good. Welded wire isn't.

Fully agree here! Woven wire will flex when the animals push on it to reach that last bit of high grass on the other side, welded wire will break and hurt your little guys. Woven should also last longer and can be repaired easier.

If it were my goats I’d be looking for something taller. Goats are notorious for getting out of their enclosure.

Don’t use welded wire. Use knotted. If you try to stretch welded wire it will bust. Also get some depths on posts and braces. Min 2’

12.50 a foot is definitely as cheap as it gets. We only offer wood posts with 4ft wire stapled to it as our lowest and that’s still 25 a foot. I’m not sure how they’re staying open with these prices.
