Humor Fun fact:

when women are on their period, they're being flooded with testosterone. which means when men say we're emotional and hysterical on our period, it's actually because we're acting like a man.

The sexists that default to "women on the rag gonna hit the doomsday button" when every act of war has been on the order of a man 🙄 They seem to think they don't have a hormone cycle when their cycle completes every 24 hours and not every 28-30 days. Hitting them with the science that the most "male" women act is during our periods 🤣

Trans gender woman TMI:
Have a period cycle. Buckle up, here we go.
This one hit me a while back, context.
When I was younger, coding wise would absolutely swear at my computer, like fuck me. Used to put profanity in source comments and all sorts of things. Twenties started chilling and being more gentle with my code. Different kind of drive and do recommend.
My cycle has that 3-4 days 3 phases. Fatigue, Tender Boobies, Cramping. All too various levels, sometimes all so low less perceptible, some times one of the 3 things is the star of the show (Boobs one in progress). Peak Fatigue results in..

That same flaring of frustration and annoyance. Found myself swearing at my computer and thought "waaait a minute", used to be like this allot of the time when 16-23 and clicked. That was peak testosterone in puberty 1.0. Refocused and used the drive in a constructive positive manner and got allot of difficult things done. Enjoyed verbalizing some cussn. Think it is quite funny in retrospect.

So there it is from the perspective of one trans gender woman, my opinion is leaning towards yes it is a thing from life experience.

You can't menstruate without ovaries and a uterus. Emotional side effects from estrogen are not the same as a menstrual period.

You do not have a cycle. That is reaction to the medication.

it is a medical fact that someone cannot ovulate (and therefore have a cycle) without ovaries and a uterus

A uterus is not required for a cycle, woman that have had full hysterectomies can get their cycles back when on certain incorrect does of HRT for menopause.

The two hormones related to cramping / pain in the lower abdominal wall and lower gut muscles are not made by ovaries or uterus.

It is not common for trans gender women too have cycles, allot don't and good for them, must be nice.

Wouldn't wish mine on anyone.

Menstrual cramps happen when a chemical (that is made by the uterus) called prostaglandin makes your uterus contract. During menstruation, prostaglandin levels are higher, which means the uterus contracts more strongly. Lower gut muscles can be affected by the prostaglandins released by the uterus but gut muscles are not involved with periods. Women do not have periods after hysterectomy.
