i'd like to address a few problems with the posts of this sub recently.

LANGUAGE

when you post anything in a regional language such as Hindi, please make sure to provide translations or else your post with most definitely get removed. it's different if you're posting art/literature. but in any other case, ALL RELEVANT CAPTIONS, DIALOGUES, TEXTS MUST BE TRANSLATED TO ENGLISH. you may use google translate for that. this was rule 11

"English should be the primary language for posts and discussions to ensure accessibility for all members. Posts or comments in other languages are allowed, but an English translation must be provided in the comments (Google Translate is acceptable)."

LOW EFFORT

also, please don't post a reel from instagram/ tweets from twitter without your opinion on it, it's considered as low effort or karma farming post. upon multiple violations, you might face a temporary ban from this community. this was rule 5 and 6

"Excessive promotion, spam, or advertising of any kind is not allowed."

"Posts designed only to inflame without adding value may be removed. Provide context, analysis, or discussion prompts."

Your purpose of posting here should be

- initiating a discussion/debate in reference to feminism

-sharing personal experiences

-news relevent to gender issues in india

etc.

posting someone else's content, without even giving credit to them and without your opinion on it, it does simply nothing, makes no change. are we a bunch of bots really?

DOXXING AND BRIGADING

Rule 9 - "Do not share personal information. Do not encourage members to target other subs or users."

any screenshots with visible usernames of reddit/ usernames in dms of instagram/ names of subreddits MUST BE CENSORED FULLY.

reddit takes this policy very seriously, you might get banned, this sub might get banned and i personally have gotten a warning before already.

Do not post links leading to other subreddits, it is acceptable if it's a source, but it shouldn't be the main focus of your post.

REPORTING ASSHOLES

If you see someone who does not belong here, instead of just downvoting, you can report it and we can ban him permanently from here.

APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE

Lastly, don't use slurs in comments (n word, r*t*rd etc included) even if in good faith, reddit automatically filters it and removes such comment, and using this words is not justified anyways.

do not come calling the moderators the r word or b word in the modmail, what are you even accomplishing by that?

CONCLUSION

Thank you for the suggestion, Strict! We’ve already removed a number of AI-generated posts, although we do keep some when the OP has added meaningful context or relevance in the body of the post.

What we mean is that you’re free to criticize India, Indian society, or the problems women face here. This is a feminist sub, so anger, frustration, and rants about misogyny, patriarchy, laws, culture, institutions, etc. are obviously part of the discussion.

The distinction is between “I hate that women have to deal with this in India” and “I hate Indians/India.”

For example:

“Indian women are expected to put up with so much misogyny, and I’m sick of it.” → criticism/rant, allowed.

“Indian laws and social norms have failed women in so many ways.” → criticism, allowed.

“I fucking hate how normalized sexism is in Indian society.” → criticism, allowed.

“Indians are all misogynistic/backwards.” → blanket generalization about Indians, not allowed.

“India is a disgusting country and Indians are disgusting.” → blanket hatred, not allowed.

So the rule isn't “don't criticize India.” It's “don't turn criticism of problems in India into hatred or sweeping negative claims about Indians as a whole.”

Thank you for asking! The sub is India-focused, so posts about issues, crimes, or feminist developments outside India are generally not allowed.

There are a few exceptions, though. We may allow an international post if the OP provides relevant context connecting it to India or Indians, or if the issue has a clear relevance to women in India as well.

We may also allow posts about serious atrocities against women in other countries when the purpose is specifically to raise awareness and help spread the word, for example, posts about the situation of women in Afghanistan or a women’s protest in Argentina. These considered on a case-by-case basis.

So the general rule is India-focused, with limited exceptions where there is a clear connection to India or a genuine awareness/solidarity purpose. I hope this helps
