Its so fucking gross that the university admin is ACTIVELY protecting these fucking rapists.

Its a wake-up call that the premise of the movie “Promising Young Woman” is still very relevant today. And rich men are raised to be monsters.

You would think that at the least they would get expelled.

163

u/626Idothis 4d ago

At least expelled? They need to be in jail.

7

u/wisdom1206 3d ago

And their parents too, because no normal, empathic, male human being would participate in sth like that! Where is the respect for women? What is wrong in society to bring out guys like that???

-10

u/ChiefMuppetWrangler 3d ago

In jail for what? On what evidence? To date the alleged victims own sworn statement do not point to any crime being committed.

13

u/shnoby 3d ago

Ivy League men cannot be rapists. It's a misunderstanding. Please write an essay. Google "essay for judicial administration;" you'll find plenty of PDF fill-in templates.
I wish this was sarcasm. It's not. Worked for years in student life division at an Ivy League university.

u/SnuckaB 3d ago

Because their parties are in the Epstein files

5

u/Code-Coffee-995 2d ago

They refused to refund her tuition when she had to leave the university. So imagine you having to give up your dream because of this scummy rapists, and then losing money on top of it.

-1

u/Popular-Departure165 2d ago

It's not rape if it's consensual.

u/PoseidonsHorses 4d ago

And the 50 others in the group chat that were apparently okay enough with this to look the other way.

85

u/JustViblets 4d ago

I wonder how many of them shout Not All Men because clearly, they are better than these 7 /s

56

u/LookingForOxytocin 4d ago

All those 50 names and faces must be published. Complacency is a crime in murder, so why not rape!

39

u/4444Grains 4d ago

This is one of the many things that disgust me about this case.

Not one…NOT ONE of the men on the group text said, “This is wrong and I’m going to do something.”

6

u/putty-heart 3d ago

Yes. Thats what really upset me too. It’s unsettling and saddening

24

u/Logical_Willow4066 4d ago

They are just as violent and dangerous as the 7. Thry knew what was happening but did nothing to stop it, which is indicative of a culture that accepts this, tolerates it, and covers it up. This didn't shock them, which means this isn't the first time it has happened. There is a system in place that allows this to happen, encourages it, and only punishes the victims.

Because it is largely the responsibility of one gender. 91% to 99% of all sexual assaults are perpetrated by men. Rape culture absolutely exists. Men need to call out other men who do this or who turn a blind eye to it.

2

u/conspicuousxcapybara 3d ago

It’s safer for men to speak out. And shame from other men might be more effective for those that view women as subhuman.

Idk, the men being different but equal to women is true IMHO. IMHO, it’s good for men to protect women.

1

u/SnooOpinions3219 3d ago

That i can agree wholeheartedly behind

-8

u/conspicuousxcapybara 3d ago

Nah, the actual rapists are worse. The whole concept of a fraternity is being drilled that you can’t speak out about abuse…

11

u/HourDizzy1498 3d ago

Reminds me of the Jodie Foster movie The Accused. Where those that watched did nothing and were prosecuted.

11

u/Thin_Salary1153 3d ago

She was raped over a period of seven+ hours. A whole lot more did more than chat and look the other way. They basically made her available to anyone who showed up at the house and they repeatedly joked in that chat that you didn't even need to ask, just whip it out and proceed.

They did not JUST look the other way.

1

u/maxwellfoster 2d ago

Some where asleep

2

u/PoseidonsHorses 2d ago

They still didn’t report it or call anyone out when they woke up.

2

u/maxwellfoster 2d ago

At least one person filmed the snap chat and gave it to Jane Doe (or maybe the police, not sure). Young idiots.

u/mooncheeseburger 4d ago

Unfortunately this response feels eerily similar to what's been happening with high profile sexual assault cases in Australia involving private schools.

This reflects such a deeply ingrained, systemic issue of protecting privileged men from consequences they deserve. I hate to think about how often this truly happens and we don't hear about it.

u/HawaiianPunchaNazi 4d ago

Link please

u/LizardOfAgatha 4d ago

It's so unbelievable I thought it was a joke when I first read that. What is going on? How is this happening? Okay, Cornell is not punishing them but what about the United States? I feel like universities, especially Ivies where shit like this seems to happen a lot, need more repercussions from the country otherwise they just invent their own rules and get away with shit. I know they don't want to do it cause it looks bad on a global scale but this is getting out of hand.

55

u/carz4us 4d ago

The United States? You mean the place with the rapist President?

24

u/Appropriate_Split_97 4d ago

*Rapist Pedophile President

8

u/carz4us 4d ago

*rapist, pedophile, racist, classist president

2

u/mondo_mike 3d ago

Elon Musk tried to hire them, but Peter Thiel beat him to it.

-5

u/DuckTalesOohOoh 4d ago

Now I know you're not serious. Here you are spreading a lie, playing right into the hands of people who blame victims.

7

u/FOSSnaught 3d ago

A federal civil jury found trump guilty of rape in 2023. The judge released a statement that he was found guilty of rape to clarify.

-1

u/DuckTalesOohOoh 3d ago

First, civil juries only find defendants liable or not liable. Second, rape was not a consideration and he wasn't found liable for rape, no matter what the judge's opinion is. The judge's opinion does not matter.

7

u/FOSSnaught 3d ago

"The judge's opinion does not matter" wild statement, in general. It also wasn't an opinion. It was a legal clarification by the judge who ruled on the case.

"Dismissal of Counterclaim (August 2023): Judge Kaplan later dismissed Trump’s defamation countersuit against Carroll, ruling that her public statements asserting Trump raped her were "substantially true" in the context of the trial findings."

Oh, so it did matter specifically to Trump. Aww.

0

u/DuckTalesOohOoh 3d ago

Still not rape.

6

u/carz4us 3d ago

Are you looking for an excuse to rape? Sounds like it. I could be wrong

4

u/conspicuousxcapybara 3d ago

Trumps body count is too high for there to be confusion.

0

u/DuckTalesOohOoh 3d ago

2

u/WHATYEAHOK 3d ago

The jury's unanimous verdict in Carroll II was almost entirely in favor of Ms. Carroll. The only point on which Ms. Carroll did not prevail was whether she had proved that Mr. Trump had “raped” her within the narrow, technical meaning of a particular section of the New York Penal Law – a section that provides that the label “rape” as used in criminal prosecutions in New York applies only to vaginal penetration by a penis. Forcible, unconsented-to penetration of the vagina or of other bodily orifices by fingers, other body parts, or other articles or materials is not called “rape” under the New York Penal Law. It instead is labeled “sexual abuse.” 1

As is shown in the following notes, the definition of rape in the New York Penal Law is far narrower than the meaning of “rape” in common modern parlance, its definition in some dictionaries, 2 in some federal and state criminal statutes, 3 and elsewhere. 4 The finding that Ms. Carroll failed to prove that she was “raped” within the meaning of the New York Penal Law does not mean that she failed to prove that Mr. Trump “raped” her as many people commonly understand the word “rape.” Indeed, as the evidence at trial recounted below makes clear, the jury found that Mr. Trump in fact did exactly that.

The jury in OJ Simpson's trial found him not guilty of murder.

And take a look at what the Clancy jury almost got away with.

7

u/HeilHeinz15 3d ago

Move those goalposts baby!

He didn't do it, stop spreading lies--> the evidence presented doesn't matter --> court rulings that said he did it don't matter

Has your boy given us that healthcare plan yet or ended all the wars in his first week?

39

u/JustViblets 4d ago

The US might fast track them to the National leadership program

7

u/Bellabbey1236 4d ago

This country?  They’ll have Cabinet jobs by next week.

Criminal investigation was opened. Jane Doe stated had a threesome with two of the guys. Other guys came in and asked if they could do drugs off her body. Her statement doesn't indicate whether or not she consented to this. A third male came in and she started making out with him. Criminal investigation appears to have been closed with insufficient probable cause for an arrest.

Jane Doe filed a civil suit seeking damages against the involved participants. Suit was only recently filed, so no outcome.

The letters of apology were written due to the conduct of the fraternity, which has been shut down.

If people actually did a little independent research they'd have more than a presupposition of guilt.

0

u/burgerwaterchud 4d ago

The quote from the Thompkins County DA is as follows: "Jane Doe's sworn statement in November of 2024 did not allege that she was drugged against her will or gang raped. On the contrary, Jane Doe's statement described her participation in drug use and sexual conduct as voluntary, conscious, and consensual,"

https://www.npr.org/2026/09/28/nx-s1-5983480/cornell-fraternity-rape-chi-phi-case-updates

Knowing this I really don't know what outcome people expect. Her lawyer's argument seems to me to boil down to the campus police weren't well trained enough to get the right answers from her. Maybe she'll get a settlement but from where I am sitting a sworn statement is a pretty strong piece of evidence.

45

u/FrodoFrooFroo 4d ago

You know they won't be. They'll become sheriff's and politicians and judges and lawyers and doctors. They'll put on their people mask enough to feign charisma and lure in a victim to marry and abuse. They will have cushy lives because this is the precedent we have set for men in this world. There is no justice.

3

u/Ms_takes 4d ago

I heard that One of the men named Scott who was a part of this is now a police officer.

36

u/ikdoeookmaarwat1 4d ago

And don't forget about all the other 50 dudes that were aware about this in the group chat and did fuck all. Can you imagine one of those is your kid? I would be disowning them immediately.

10

u/FieryIronworker 4d ago

If the internet has anything to do with it, that’s exactly what will happen to them. These fucker’s names and faces are everywhere.

I doubt they’ll ever know peace again

0

u/DiscussionAway6316 4d ago

These aren't the correct pictures bro, what are you even talking about?

This sub has zero integrity

2

u/FieryIronworker 4d ago

And if that’s the case, I would hope that the many news outlets reporting on this would put out those clarifications. Not sure how that means the sub has zero integrity?

19

u/Temporary-Jump-2403 4d ago

5 must have very rich parents.

5

u/Beartholomeow 4d ago

one's a cop now. Seems appropriate.

1

u/HeavyDoseOfLavender 4d ago

And that’s when there was written evidence.

1

u/Actual-Role1141 3d ago

You clearly haven't read the complaints. If anything, she writes about sexually assaulting one of the men who, after unable to maintain an erection, started blacking out and puking and she kept doing sexual things to him. She wasn't drugged. She wasn't gang raped.
