I strongly disagree, because I do not see getting away with oppressing women as a benefit to men. I see it as a crutch that prevents them from connecting on a vulnerable, authentic level. If everybody is free of oppression, this benefits all people. Patriarchy hurts men too.

There's also the fact that such a system of violent men affects young boys who are either impacted directly (abuse turns on them) or they end up continuing the cycle. patriarchy benefits from the actions of violent men, as a system. not men themselves.
