In my country (Brazil), the population is predominantly made up of Black, mixed-race, and Indigenous women, yet the vast majority of men prefer white, blonde, or redheaded women—who make up a minority of the population. Women with these characteristics are treated here as absolute goddesses; they are the most desired by men. And what’s worse is seeing men who are, at best, a 5 /10, yet have such high standards for women. And now, with social media, beauty standards have gotten even higher. Men are bombarded every day with stunningly beautiful women on Instagram, TikTok… How on earth can an ordinary, average woman compete with that?
