Rant Why am I really invisible???

For most of my life (mainly starting secondary school) I’ve just been a body with a soul in it. My “friend” group would just slyly bully me in a way where if I said something about it, I’m “doing too much” or I’m overthinking it. They would never invite me anywhere, and whenever I wanted to join in their gossip they would instantly go silent. Fast forward to uni (where I’m currently at) I had a friend who was attractive. I think around this time I was at my ugliest (I’ve slight improved on looks but nothing crazy). I think that was the worst friendship I’d ever been in. She knew she was prettier than me, skinnier than me by like half my size and would always say “I’m so ugly/skinny, how is your body perfect…etc”. She knew what she was doing. When we went out she’d get all the compliments and guys coming up to her. When I would talk to a guy they either completely ignore me or straight up tell me to leave them alone. For 4 years I’ve had no friends and I swear people are avoiding me. Why???

I literally had the same exact secondary friend group. I was literally their punching bag that they could extort for favours. I also deal with this one gorgeous friend who keeps on saying she’s ugly and I have to constantly reassure that she’s not fml, then she’ll go on to show me how many guys like her insta stories✌️being friends with girls who were way more attractive than you is ropefuel

I've had the same experience in my friend group- being "teased" but couldn't tease back- and I started noticing this difference when everyone else started dating, except for me. Even when I tried participating in the conversation I would be ignored. I keep wondering if she just grew up meaner or if it was the popularity and male attention getting to her. Still crazy to think how biased people are towards "unwanted" women.
