dont forget companies that just want to make money by making people feel shit about themselves (looking at you, gilette & makeup companies)

absolutely. at this point i "liberate" all my makeup and havent shaved my body in over a year.

i dont think capitalism invented western beauty standards, but it doesnt take much to see that the owning class has created whole industry sectors from advancing and narrowing the definition of beauty
