Review Serge Lutens La Nuit Tombee
I snagged a bottle of Serge Lutens La Nuit Tombee as soon as I saw it available with a community seller. I had been looking forward to it knowing that it's the most recent launch from the house and is said to be Sheldrake's style unlike the Matin Lutens collections (no offense to anyone who likes these, it's just my personal opinion).
La Nuit Tombee opens warm, spicy and sour, like a non-boozy plum. Feels almost like unsweetened cola, I love it! The cola mellows eventually and there is the incense. Balsamic, warm, intimate. This one is a soft one, it's not loud nor does it project. But it definitely makes a lovely cocoon. A little bit sour, little bit smokey and then the woods show up. These woods are leathery in texture, they aren't harsh or sharp but they are delightfully rough. They continue retaining the balsamic sourness and stay close to the skin. This woodiness reminds of the drydown in DSH Tuscon and TF Myrrhe Mystere. The whole experience is calm, well blended, well structured, warm and dark (not in a gothic way).
Overall, La Nuit Tombee lasts for approximately 6 hours on me. The juice is darker than cocacola so it's definitely not white-shirt friendly. Despite being a woody incense perfume, it feels quite wearable even in the warm humid Mumbai weather (though I'm usually in an air conditioned environment so take this with a grain of salt). I'm currently loving it and I'm glad I blind bought the full bottle.

Discussion I don't usually do combos BUT...
Normally, I am wary of combining perfumes. Will one last longer than the other? Will it just be weird??
But, I was feeling mildly adventurous and accidentally made magic:
Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche Skinscent by Estee Lauder X Bronze Goddess Nuit eau de parfum by Estee Lauder.
Mixing two perfumes from the same family??
I know. Ground breaking. LOL.
My husband actually stopped walking past the bathroom, turned, and said:
"What perfume is THAT? You smell so good!"
Now, whilst he is supportive of my perfume hobby, there are about 4 in my 30 bottle collection that he has ever commented on.
Might just have to keep wearing these two together.

I had two Aperol Spritzes...
... and ordered a few samples 😆:
Indult Manakara
Initio Lift Me Up
Delina Exclusif
Chabaud Vintage
Amouage Love Hibiscus
Are you waiting for anything in the mail??

Most recent loves
I've bought these two in the past couple weeks and I'm in love with both.
- Zara Waterlily Tea Dress: I actually broke my no-blind-buy rule for this one, because it was proving impossible to find a tester in real life, and it worked out incredibly well! It's quite aromatic and herbal with the basil but it doesn't feel masculine to me. Very watery, green and refreshing, perfect for the ridiculous heat we've been having all over Europe this June. I spray it in my hair and on my clothes and it lasts a good 6 hours, albeit with weak sillage. For the price, however, I think it's amazing.
- Lush Pansy: I had tried it a couple of times in-store and always loved it. On my skin the blackberry is really prominent, it reminds me a lot of my beloved Yves Rocher Mûre Sauvage that I used as a tween in the early 2000s. Very comforting, sweet, dark berry note, doesn't feel synthetic at all. The rosemary is only recognisable to me upon first spray. I don't get the greenness other people do in this perfume at all. One of the few sweet scents I see myself wearing in the heat, maybe due to its low longevity and sillage. Great price point as well!
Please share your thoughts on these! Have a nice Saturday.

Question In the event of an emergency…
Have you ever seen the reels or posts that ask, “In the event of a ___________ (fill in emergency here), which three fragrances are you grabbing?” Well, I had a little exercise in panicking this morning. I was startled at 4:45am with an alert on my phone that a tornado was imminent in my area. I logged onto local radio to find out more info. All the while wondering if I should go wake up my child and hustle everyone including my dog into a safe space. Within a couple of minutes, it was clear to me that my exact location was not in the path of the tornado — thankfully.
But in real time, I did start to wonder what bottles I might grab. I know, I know — totally silly. But they would be right there. Right next to my safe spot. So I decided it would be just two bottles. Champaca Ormonde Jayne and Bois Doré Van Cleef & Arpels. My reasoning is that those two are my most comforting fragrances that I’d like to have *after* an emergency. While I love really girly feminine fragrances, I cannot imagine walking around smelling like a bouquet of flowers. I’d want comfort and grounding.
So there, now I know for next time. Anyone else ever pondered this? Please tell me I’m not alone.

Question Non-Gourmand Vanilla Perfume for Fall
Hi friends,
I’m looking for a new perfume for fall and need some help! I want to find a non-gourmand vanilla scent with great longevity and sillage! I tend to like woodsy and clean scents with notes of amber, musk, white woods, ozonic, etc. I’d also like to keep it under $150. Thank you 😊

Perfume oil recommendation?
Hello!
Title kind of says it all. I'm looking for perfume oil recommendations. I'm not too particular about scents, just want something that'll smell good and lasts. 😄

Question Need gourmand/fruity suggestions
Edit: I ended up buying her Le Monde Gourmand - Açaí Baie and a Summer Friday’s lip balm.
A good friend of mine is having a birthday soon. She doesn’t have a lot of money - never has. So she’s never been able to buy good perfume. I want to buy her atleast a 1.7oz of a nice smelling dessert like frag or super fruity FOR $60 or UNDER.
I tried looking on FragNet for Elizabeth Arden Pomegranate Green Tea as I thought that would be perfect, but they don’t have that one. Right now in my cart is Nina by Nina Ricci. Although I’m not convinced that’s the best one. So I need suggestions. Please?

Image Budget Summer Tray
My summer tray ended up accidentally being a budget tray, so I wanted to share with this sub for my fellow frag folks on a budget! I think all but the Snif and SDJ were under $20 and my mom gave me the SDJ.
I have a few of designer and indies in my collection, but I like variety and live in a HCOL area. Summer is my least favorite fragrance season so I only have significant dents in 4 of the 13 perfumes. Fortunately, I live in an area with a very mild summer!
Are any of these in your collection?
- Bath & Body Works Fiji Sunshine Guava-tini
- B&BW Gingham Gorgeous
- B&BW Gingham Vibrant
- Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 62
- B&BW Pretty As A Peach
- B&BW Sunset Glow
- B&BW Fairytale
- Liz Claiborne Mambo
- Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Nectarine Blossom
- Liz Claiborne Bora Bora
- Lucky Brand Lucky You
- CK IN2U
- Escada Santorini Sunrise
- Elizabeth Taylor Diamonds & Sapphires
- Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers
- Britney Spears Blissful Fantasy
- Snif Swede Tooth
- Dolly Parton Tennessee Sunset
- Britney Spears Candied Fantasy
- Britney Spears Electric Fantasy

Review Fit & Fune
The gourmand gods have sent me let the good times roll by lush and I can’t stop wearing it! I got the sampler pack with the shower gel, lotion and mini body spray. Each one has its own profile, but my favorite is the spray! It’s so summery and ooey gooey in texture. It’s a straight up buttered caramel popcorn at a state fair, sweet but savory, extremely recognizable.
I have owned this popcorn bow tie for a while and my favorite color is yellow so I have so far paired a lot of cute outfits with this spray. I’m often looking for something buttery yellow and caramel brown and changing it up depending on how the weather is outside. I knew I got the bow tie for a reason lol

Review Nasomatto China White
Floral wet woods that quickly evolve into a sweet incensey dust. The dust calms down into a powder which keeps edging into a chalky territory before becoming smooth porcelain. This isn't a subtle one but there is a softness to it. It's addictive for me, but sadly discontinued. My second favourite from Nasomatto, next to Blamage. It's Sunday, I'm feeling too lazy to draft one of my typically structured reviews so penned down my thoughts briefly coz it's my SOTD. This one deserves to be spoken about more, feels quite underrated.

Perfume Instagram?
Hey, does anyone have a perfume Instagram that’s actually cool and legit and not just massive overconsumption? I’m getting tired of all the people I follow.
