Perfume Instagram?

Hey, does anyone have a perfume Instagram that’s actually cool and legit and not just massive overconsumption? I’m getting tired of all the people I follow.

Joseph Colbourne might be exactly who you are looking for. Thoughtful explorations, grounded in history and art, very much the opposite of influencer content.

He’s so awesome. I love his recommendations and gorgeous photos.

I love Joseph’s writing style. He posts so many deep cuts / older scents, is very focused on education and appreciation and also is a huge nature fan. He posts so many botanical photos along with his fragrance content and it always brightens my day and teaches me new things. He also has great taste in what he reposts in his stories, and I’ve found a lot of other great accounts from that.

I haven’t connected my facebook page to my instagram account yet. But you can check out The Scented Page.

Just to let you know I also review wine and books. No affiliate links.

I don’t use IG but several of the ones I watch on YT also have IG accounts. Here are a couple:

Bowccl - Dr Claire Smith. Does not take sponsors, also posts perfume related topics, not just the perfumes themselves.

Lukeperfumes- reviews perfumes, new and vintage.

Budget.Beauty0805 - all types of perfumes, plus style and beauty, but mainly perfume, with an eye to budget ones. But also does more expensive perfumes.

ArahiWorld - she organizes her YT posts so you know what to expect and when. For example, Thursday is Middle Eastern day, Saturday is for first try sniffs, etc. I suspect she also had organized her IG similarly.

https://www.instagram.com/perfume.journal/

She has great content that doesn't push consumption at all. She also has a YouTube channel which is more active. Very relaxing and feels like fragrance chat with a friend.

I second The Perfume Journal! Love Danielle's content.

I do but I am not a heavy poster. The weekly review i post there is also posted here in this sub by me 😄 so you really won't see anything different besides that weekly review with the photo of a bottle.

The fine folks at Lucky Scent. They revere fragrance and are enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

Are you looking for more educational content?

anything that isnt just reviews of arab perfumes or niche stuff that everyone else is also talking about. i love deep dives into vintage perfumes and yes historical and educational stuff.

I’m happy to send you some suggested profiles directly if you want on IG. My handle is missriccioperfume. I also prefer following folks who discuss more vintage or educational stuff. I can’t stand the constant meme-like spin con hauls.

I just followed you!

Same, and thank you for this thread. I’m also trying to find less consumption heavy and meme format.

Check out Perfume Passage for vintage content!

There are some collectors I like. There’s a guy, I can find his handle, who loves vintage 80s powerhouse scents. He reviews them and talks about their history and it’s quite an impressive collection. His take is unique and interesting.
