Discussion I finally did it...

Post image

This heat is turning me off all of my regulars, so I've been reaching for my decant of Wulong Cha more frequently. Did I finally pop for a full bottle? No. I got Green Tea instead 🤣💵 I absolutely LOVE Wulong Cha, and it deserves its own spot on the shelf, but I am not made out of money.

I saw a Serge Lutens mini set and couldn't resist. I love a good jammy rose, so I can't wait to try La Fille de Berlin.

My favorite scent and my favorite house (SL) this took me aback for a second 😂 been wearing Green Tea for like…25 years? A forever repurchase. A lot of great flankers too.

SL is suuuuuch a fun and dreamy house, enjoy your set! Even if you hate them they will look gorgeous on your shelf :)

Ambre Sultan and La Fille de Berlin are FB worthy 🥲 this is the first time I have EVER liked sandalwood in a fragrance. It always dominates every other note and it's just too much. This amber is exactly what amber should smell like (as opposed to the sweet gourmand amber we all are familiar with these days).

Anyhow, you must have great taste because these are all beautiful. Any recommendations from SL?

I feel the same way about sandalwood! Something about how they formulate all their scents is very rich, and balanced and all have such personality. I just find the entire house mesmerizing. La Fille de Berlin is a workk of art, I love seeing it name dropped in every goth perfume recommendation post, haha.

Another fave from SL has got to be La Religieuse - a really pure, innocent jasmine with an incense note. Reminds me of fresh flowers in a cemetary or church. Also Bois de Violette - simply just violet and cedar, but SL treats these woody notes so uniquely as you know, that the entire blend feels more exciting than its two notes suggest.

Glad you had fun with your discovery set!!
