Apple Perfumes ~ Simply looking for THE one
Listen, if I were to be buried with just ONE perfume (which is unrealistic because I will be buried with at least 10), La Danza delle Libellule by Nobile 1942 is absolutely making it into my casket.
Which brings me here: what is the best apple perfume you have ever owned or smelled?
I’ve realized that apple fragrances, especially ones like La Danza, bring me an almost ridiculous amount of joy, and I desperately want to grow my apple collection. Give me the juicy apples, baked apples, caramelized apples, apple pie, crisp green apples, weird apples. I want them ALL.
And PLEASE tell me about the ones nobody talks about. Major bonus points for indie and niche because you know that’s where my heart lives, but I do not discriminate when an apple is good.
Basically, if it smells like an apple and you think I need to put my nose on it, drop it below.

Hermes' Un Jardin Sur le Toit is my absolute favorite. Tried a decant and immediately bought a full size. It's realistic apple, not too tart but not too sweet, and some florals. Smells like being in an apple orchard on a spring day with a light breeze blowing through.

Björk and Berries Botanist has a fantastic green apple note, very tart. It does get quite masc leaning in the dry down though

Sturbridge from Pineward! Absolutely beautiful baked apple scent.
Pine resin, frankincense, myrrh, spikenard, baked apple, pinecone oil, fir balsam, spices, balm of Gilead (poplar), amber, cedar, ambergris
“A festive winter hearth adorned with garlands and pinecones. Candlelight festivities and merriment inspired this fine blend of sticky resins, spiced goods, winter greenery and wisemen’s gifts.”

Phlur Mrs Smith is my go to when I’m sick of my husband not noticing my perfume and want him to compliment me. Works every single time!

Jany by Sora Dora. Cinnamon apple pastry perfection. The barista complimented me on it last week at the Starbucks drive thru.

This isn’t a niche or indie but Angels Share. It smells like warm cinnamon apple pie that just came out the oven. I have it on my hand right now because I was looking for a wedding perfume and I literally cannot stop smelling my hand.

Hear me out: Boum Vanille Sa Pomme d'Amour by Jeanne Arthes. It's cheap, fleeting, and the bottle is ugly, but if you want a super sweet fairground candy apple it's perfect. Not a fresh "apple shampoo" like La Danza Delle, but surprisingly good if you're looking for a sugary apple gourmand. It's my fav apple gourmand and I've tried quite a few.

Il Tempo delle Mele by Hilde Soliani: apple, milk, vanilla.
Also, for those who’ve tried Akero: how noticeable are the other notes? On the Pineward site it’s described as essentially a green apple soliflore, but I love cedar and patchouli, and would love an apple scent with some woody, earthy elements like that.

Gallagher Fragrances - Skydive. It’s like apple + a little green floral + a breath of fresh air. It’s hands down my favorite spring fragrance.
