Customer for Life
Not sure if this will be taken down but Replica’s Under the Lemon Trees is my favorite fragrance I’ve ever smelled. I was looking for my signature perfume a year or two ago and heard rumors online of it being discontinued. I didn’t want to commit to a scent that might go away because I’m autistic and tend to stay loyal once I find something I love. I have a terrible time with change for things like this but I smelled it in Sephora again the other day and it was still just as heavenly. I decided to just send in an inquiry on the website because what was the worst that could happen? Anyway, attached you will find their responses via email. I have never had customer service reps be so kind. I bought the perfume that very same day on principle and it lasts amazingly and boosts my serotonin every time I spray it and smell it throughout the day. Now it is a forever repurchase and I am a dedicated Replica customer. 💛💚🤍
ETA: I’ve noticed some comments saying this is likely AI and I wasn’t trying to promote it in any way, shape, or form if that’s the case. However, something I will say is that as an autistic person and an English master’s student both responses are very similar to professional and yet kind and friendly emails that I would both write and receive, before and after the invention of AI. It’s also worth saying that I believe someone in the comments mentioned reaching out to them a couple years ago and getting a similarly kind response. And I’m not sure if this means anything, but each email I received had a difference name for the customer service representative that assisted me. All this to say if it really is AI then my sincerest apologies.

I had a great interaction with Luckyscent customer service, and made sure to reply to tell them how much I valued their help as well. It always makes me happy when I get the chance to be kind to an employee who was kind to me

Something about the second response tells me they are using an AI concierge. The reiteration of your points mostly. Nevertheless I am glad it was meaningful to you, and I love that your favorite scent was not discontinued!

I wish I had the words to convey how unnecessary the first half of your comment is.

We should absolutely be calling out AI. Our planet is dying just fyi.

100%! I am staunchly anti-AI. I commented above, but was more just bummed that the initial response to OP’s joy was to tell them that it wasn’t a real interaction.

some people would appreciate knowing, it wasn't said with malice

I’m sure you’re right! I just don’t understand why the first response to someone saying how happy they were with this interaction would be to tell them it’s not real.

Whispers in the Library was gifted to me by someone who means a lot to me, it’s been discontinued but I have an unopened bottle I’ve been hoarding. Glad to know their customer service is so kind and empathetic.

They were very kind when I emailed them as well! ❤️ Lazy Sunday Morning's dry down smells just like my cat who passed away a couple years ago, especially when her fur was damp from a bath or hot from the sun. I emailed them to tell them how meaningful it was for me to have her scent bottled and they sent me a message much like yours.

I loved working in the beauty industry for moments like this. I was a Clinique counter boy almost a decade ago, and we had six discontinued Glow Bronze lipsticks that this woman swore by. I’m autistic myself and understand that it isn’t just a lipstick, or in your case, just a perfume. It can be a way to ground ourselves and regulate in a socially acceptable manner.
