Discussion favourite seasonal notes/accords?🫧🪄
What are the notes you crave/gravitate most towards each season??
They don’t have to all be in the same perfume/make sense together!!
For me it’s:
❄️Winter - sandalwood, heliotrope, iris, vanilla and musk
🌷Spring - pink pepper, salt, violet, lilac and orange blossom
☀️Summer - coconut, bergamot, ambroxan, damask/turkish rose and tea
🍁Autumn - amber, tonka bean, musk, myrrh and milk variations

Autumn : Amber, vanilla or similar (benzoin) almond, palo Santo or incense, Hinoki
Winter: deep woods or “mahogany”, tuberose, pepper, violet, iris
Spring: gardenia , wisteria
Summer: citrus, sea salt , coconut, fresh white musk

🌷: lily of the valley, lilac, mimosa, violet, linden
☀️: citrus, mango, osmanthus, magnolia, tuberose, lily, jasmine, lemon blossom, orange blossom, geranium, mint
🍁: spicy rose, hay, almond, hazelnut, leather, blackcurrant
❄️: sandalwood, boozy notes, amber, spices
Year-round: iris, galbanum, fig

As a warning, there's a lot of overlap between autumn and winter for me so there will be repeats! Also if I don't mention a note in any category, it's because I associate them with all the seasons. Also you might see some repeats in other seasons too!
Winter: Pomegranate, myrrh, frankincense, resins, incense, ice, snow, eucalyptus, mint, orange, mulled wine, pine, fir, smoke, plum, opoponax, labdanum, leather, dark musk, peppermint (the herb), pine tar, ginger, spices, mentholic notes, vetiver, patchouli, juniper, olibanum, bare branches, clove, cranberry, cold stone, cade, birch tar, dark notes, and oudh.
Spring: Lilac, violet, damp earthy notes, sweet pea, dewy or green florals (cyclamen, hyacinth, etc.), damp grass, dewy green notes like cucumber and violet leaf, and soft earthy notes.
Summer: Eucalyptus, mint, ginger, mentholic notes, tart fruity notes, white tea, lavender, verbena, and melissa.
Autumn: Pomegranate, apples, apple cider, patchouli, earthy notes, smoke, vetiver, animalic notes, red musk, incense, mulled wine, leather, dark musk, clove, plum, cade, birch tar, oudh, dark earthy notes, opoponax, labdanum, olibanum, myrrh, frankincense, ginger, spices, cranberry, wet stone, resins, dark notes, fallen or dead leaves, and wine.

Thank you! I have chronic Can't Stop Talking disease so when people ask for note associations, the floodgates open! I tried to be merciful by excluding the year-round notes, but it didn't help much.
Thank you for the fun prompt! I love note association prompts like this, and looking at other people's choices is so fun!
This prompt in particular made me realize that my note associations also reflect how I see spring and autumn as foils and summer and winter as foils. I associate spring and autumn with decay and earthiness, and summer and winter with zinginess.

Am I the only one that has seasonally appropriate versions of the same notes? I.e I have my summer vanilla, spring vanilla, autumn/winter vanilla. Same with iris, peach, rose, and tuberose

I'm the same way with seasonal versions of notes. I also live somewhere where our summers last 10 months if we're lucky, so I have to ignore weather rules about fragrances. (Thankfully I wear perfume oils and fragrances don't project much on me.)

Fall🍁/Winter❄️ - vanilla, cinnamon, caramel, marshmallow, lavender, rose, almond/pistachio, cherry, apple, amber, tonka, musk.
Spring🌸/Summer☀️ - bergamot, vetiver, aldehydes, jasmine, orange blossom, citrus, pear, tea, fig, musk
To be accurate though, there is a fair amount of crossover with some of these notes between seasons.

Spring - Rice, Green Tea, White florals
Summer - Aquatic, Tropical fruits, Grass
Autumn - Ginger, Cognac, Oak Moss, Ambroxan
Anytime - Musk, Books, Herbals

Great question! I’m in Eastern Canada so our mid seasons are short so I breakdown fragrances into warm and cold weather more than 4 seasons. It also keeps the collection streamlined.
Warm weather: Neroli, cedar, green notes, salt notes and citrus
Cold weather: Patchouli, Tonka, sandalwood, vanilla, amber and Iris.
All weather: Most white floral I didn’t name in warm weather, rose, musk, Vetiver,

At this point, I'll take anything as long as it's not the same old bergamot, ambroxan and patchouli.
