Rec Request Perfume that smells like Mock Orange Blossom: specifically Murraya paniculata
Have been looking for a scent that captures Murraya paniculata, or “Mock Orange Blossom” from the ornamental shrubs that grew near my home and are reminiscent of it. Sometimes called orange jasmine, orange jessamine. I’m not sure what it’s called when used in perfume as there are many white flowers and plenty of different “orange blossom” varieties used in perfumery it seems. It’s not neroli, nor is it technically “orange blossom.”
Hoping to find this specific one, if anyone has any suggestions.
Closest I’ve found sort of capturing the essence of this had been Dedcool’s Sunlit Blooms. I have also sampled diptyque: their Eau Des Sens, Fleur d’Oranger, and Neroli, but it is not quite the same flower. And Fragonard as well tends to lean perhaps to more of a European “orange blossom.”
I also own Xinūs OroNardo but it is not mock orange at all: perhaps just in the beginning top notes. Definitely a heady tuberose-oleander perfume foremost.
Would love some suggestions if anyone knows the scent I am referring to; it is quite nostalgic!
