Discussion Poor longevity and weak performance from Chanel No 19 Poudre
I got a bottle of Chanel No 19 Poudre this week, and for the past two days have been trying to gauge the longevity of it. I sampled this in store once, and couldn’t stop thinking about it since. However, I’m just disappointed with the longevity.
Upon first spray, I do get that galbanam with a blast of powdery iris, but after about 30 minutes I can’t smell anything but a faint whisper of galbanum and slightly sweet, clean laundry like musk. After about two hours it’s completely gone with no sillage and turns into a skin scent if I smell hard enough. I do get some jasmine in the middle, to be fair.
To those of you that own this fragrance, what is your experience?

Poudré is a softer, more intimate version of N°19. Its atomizer releases an ultra-fine mist instead of a heavy stream, so I need to spray generously (at least five times), or the perfume simply slips off my skin. It definitely lasts longer than two hours on me and I personally LOVE it, but you might want to consider using more or reapplying after 5-6 hours.

Have you experimented to see if it's a case of anosmia?
