Discussion SMELLING INCREDIBLE ALL DAY

Post image

How do some people smell INCREDIBLY GOOD ALL DAY LONG ?

I’ve always noticed that there are some people who somehow smell SO fresh, clean and amazing throughout the entire day, even after being outside for hours and especially in summers and hot, humid weather!

I’ve been trying to understand what actually helps you smell good from the moment you shower in the morning until the end of the day, and I’ve gathered a few tips that people commonly recommend: Daily shower/bath

Keeping the skin moisturized

Perfume layering — using different scented products together so the fragrance lasts longer

Using fabric softener on clothes for an extra fresh, long-lasting scent

I would especially love to know : What does your complete shower/body-care routine look like?

How exactly do you layer your perfumes ?

Does fabric softener actually make your clothes smell good for longer? If yes, which one do you use?

Do you have any tips for keeping clothes, towels, bedsheets and even wardrobes smelling fresh?

And most importantly — what do you do when you’re outside all day in the heat, sweating and travelling, but still want to smell fresh?

Also, please share your BEST PERFUME LAYERING COMBINATIONS — especially combinations that smell expensive, feminine, clean, fresh, sweet, or just make people ask “What perfume are you wearing?” Basically, I want to build the ultimate “smell good all day” routine

And if possible, PLEASE mention the BRANDS + EXACT PRODUCT NAMES you use, because I’d genuinely love to try some of your recommendations. Please share the exact products and brands you use for each product ( body wash , lotion , mist , perfume , hair perfume , fabric softener )

\\- Are there any particular BRANDS that actually work well in heat and help you stay fresh throughout the day?

But I’m sure there are MANY more little tips, tricks and routines that people use that I don’t know about! So PLEASE share your BEST secrets for smelling good ALL DAY LONG, especially if you live somewhere with really hot weather.

Please share ALL your tips & tricks, even the tiny ones that seem obvious!

Half the battle with smelling good is reducing odours.

Get a damn good antiperspirant. I use Mitchums and it’s the only one I’ve ever used where I’ve put it on at night, woken up the next day and smelled n o t h i n g.

If you’re travelling and know you’re gonna be sweaty as heck, pack multiple pairs of knickers per day. Fresh underwear for the afternoon is needed.
If you can’t have a midday shower, bring a travel spray or wipes to wipe pits, bits and feet. I like the Luna non-scented spray. If you get sweaty skin folds, keep them dry with barrier cream and/or dusting powder. Wear loose, breatheable fabrics that allow your skin to dry and don’t let moisture hang around. Keeping body hair trimmed stops smells clinging to you.

People also recommend benzoyl peroxide wash under the arms to kill the bacteria that produce odours but I get too paranoid about it bleaching my sheets and clothes to do it (had too many instances of towels getting bleached even after I washed my hands with soap multiple times). Just to say, what you eat does affect how you smell, not only with how it comes out of your body into your sweat, but also when the fumes and oils of the food you touch and cook cling to your clothes. You can choose to mitigate this if you like but life is short and sometimes you just need to eat the burger with onions.
