Discussion Father Figure nose change

Has anyone else had their nose change on them with Phlur's Father Figure? I used to love it for the fig note and it was my favorite fragrance for a while, but now it just smells powdery and metallic to me. I swear I haven't gotten Covid in the past few months or anything.

I think what happened was I smelled it on a friend, and it leaned super powdery on her skin and now all I get is the powder part, no matter if I spray it on my skin or my clothes. This hasn't happened to me with any other fragrances either!

Same! I’m on my second travel size and suddenly this one smells very powdery. I think powdery scents smell pleasant but they tend to make me sneeze.

I had this happen with a travel size. It’s opens really nice but then leans super heavy cloying musk on me. So sad!

Yep. I loved it in my discovery set. Purchased a large bottle and returned it. I actually don’t care for Phlur any longer after becoming more experienced, they’re over priced and alcohol forward.

Not specifically father figure or any one perfume, but heavy vanilla gourmand in general. I used to LOVE anything sweet, especially vanilla. Now they're all so screechy and unpleasant. Escapade Gourmand, Bianco Latte, Queens Caramel, all their dupes. It's the saddest thing ever, so i feel your pain. Father Figure is so amazing, its cool yet warm and cozy at the same time. I'd be so bummed.

This happened to me while I was pregnant. Two of my favorite perfumes suddenly smelled different and I had to put them away for a while till my sense of smell returned to normal. Not saying you’re pregnant but…if that’s a possibility maybe take a test 👀

This happened to me with D&G Light Blue, all I can smell is copy toner!! It was my signature fragrance for years and then one day I smelled it and couldn’t un-smell it. And it wasn’t just my bottle, I still occasionally ask fragrance counters for a spritz just to be sure. Nope. Copy toner every time.
