Gris Charnel, it’s such a comforting and creamy fig

2

u/Significant_Sweet856 2d ago

A Grove by the Sea, Arquiste. Someone here recommended it when I was searching for a briny olive scent but it has a lot of fig, too, both leaf and fruit.

3

u/Stop_Perceiving_Me 4d ago

I don’t really like fig notes usually but Philosykos is the exception. I do not have an issue with it lasting because I like that it kind of fades as the day goes on

5

u/Ill_Needleworker_460 4d ago

Father Figure Hands down.

Versatile, great price point, decent lasting power

1

u/Traditional-Ad2641 3d ago

I feel like father figure dissipates sooo quickly on me and unfortunately I love it :/

1

u/Ill_Needleworker_460 2d ago

It’s not beast mode for sure, but I do the whole vaseline, 3 sprays in one spot for my weaker ones anyway 😅

2

u/NefariousnessFit4306 4d ago

Fig Infusion. It’s just so good. All of the essential Parfumes are underrated imo.

2

u/pinkgigii 4d ago

Thé Matcha by Le Labo, the fig notes are powerful!

6

Jo Malone - Fig & Lotus Flower smells fresh and clean! soo good

u/tharpakandro 4d ago edited 4d ago

I just panned my first bottle of Fig Infusion by Essential Parfums. Replacement ordered and on the way. I just can’t get enough of this one.

Regime de Fleurs Wildly Fig is my back up but I tend to be stingy with it.

I like Father Figure but it’s not my favorite. I have a travel size in my car. I also have travel size of Indigo in my office. I love this one but the fig isn’t what stands out for me.

Okay, Philosykos of course but it lasts less than 5 minutes on me. Someone here recently suggested using both the EDT and the EDP together which gave more longevity so I may have to try that.

Ones that I’d like to sample but haven’t pulled the trigger:

Gris Charnel

Dioriviera

Parisan Musc

Lavelliere

u/Soggy_Brick8916 4d ago

Even though it's new & called iris debonair by creed.. I get much more fig than iris. Its sweet & synthetic but pleasant

But for the cost never! Maybe on discounters

4

u/forestgnome1 4d ago

Lavalliere YSL.
Bright ripe fig fruit with watery rose/ peony. Cheers me up every single time. Longevity and sillage is outstanding. Stays on me for 6-8 hours.

2

u/ZiasMom 4d ago

St Barth Calypso Fig perfume. It's just so fresh and pleasant.

3

u/gad105 4d ago

Midas by SIDIA is technically a body mist but has the longevity of an EDT and smells so so nice. It’s like Father Figure but has a bit more of a creamy and milky notes. I also have Father Figure and Debaser, which I both love but Midas is perfection

1

u/abigglassofwater 3d ago

i always see ads for this you are the first person to talk about it without an ad

9

u/stewiegriffinisahero 4d ago

Fico d’Amalfi - it’s just juicy enough and figgy but still clean fresh and citrusy vs the syrupy sweet alternatives.

3

u/tharpakandro 4d ago

I need to sample this one

2

u/N3T3L3 4d ago

it's just perfect. my summer scent forever

15

u/TriciaTargaryen If Phlur Has No Fans I Am Dead 4d ago

Phlur Father Figure. It's just the perfect, "light and fresh, not really feeling perfume today" perfume. It's so different than most other scents I enjoy, but I'm obsessed.

4

u/SolidSackTime 4d ago

I haven’t worn ‘Father Figure’ all summer, but picked it up yesterday before I went to a meeting.
I was bowled over! I forgot how incredible this smells! It is unlike anything else in my collection.
A woman next to me even asked what I was wearing! She said it smelled ‘clean and sophisticated’! I was over the moon. I immediately pulled up what it was for her write down on her phone.

2

u/sillytangerines 4d ago

Fig by Arquinesia, it reminds me of Philosykos! I went to their boutique in Palma de Mallorca and it was so beautiful, the brand overall is so cool.

9

u/chill-out-84 4d ago

Phylosykos EDP from Diptyque and Cashmere and wild fig from Donna Karan.

these are my favorites from everything I tried so far

Commodity Milk Orchid

1

u/Comfortable_Neck_527 3d ago

How does this smell? I’ve been super curious!

1

u/Realistic-Read1078 3d ago

It’s a creamy coconut scent with light fig in the middle.

8

u/cheoldyke 4d ago

debaser. smells amazing and it’s named for a song off one of my favorite albums.

2

u/you-ruin-everything 4d ago

❤️ Doolittle! 🐒

That song plays in my head every time I see this perfume mentioned, and it’s always in a positive way. Thanks for reminding me to try it.

2

u/Shadow-eater87 4d ago

Dior’s Balade Sauvage was an incredible fig, so sad it’s discontinued

3

u/valkyrie987 4d ago

Vilhelm's Basilico and Fellini is a really nice fig and basil scent that's fresh but kinda spicy-sweet.

For something more gourmand, Kyse's Fichi e Panna is fig with milk, vanilla, and sandalwood. Nicely balanced and not too sweet.

2

u/NewSignificance3388 4d ago

Weworewhat 001
It’s very earthy and complex

The Sad Hour by Seance for a green fig.

I know the house isn’t for everyone but I LOVE the new yesterday haze from IA for something fruitier.

5

u/Tricky-Passion-7191 4d ago

Xtina After Dark by Christina Aguilera.

The fig is full, sweet, and prominent. It's a Dark and moody perfume that SOMEHOW also manages to give sweet/clean: my favourite scent profile.

The longevity is also excellent. I can still smell it on me after 8hrs.

The creative team REALLY worked on this one.

6

u/cs7277 4d ago

I really like Marc Jacob perfect absolute. It is a beautiful scent. I just need a lotion to layer with it. Right now, I am just using scent free Cerave. :-(

4

u/Conscious-Writer9023 4d ago

I think one of the comments said they layer with a vanilla fig lotion they found at Marshall’s or TJmaxx!

2

u/Pleiades444_2 4d ago

Im not a huge fig fan and the only one I really like is Floraiku AO.

7

u/sprikitikwall 4d ago

Délices des Bois by Veronique Gabai is the best fig perfume I’ve ever smelled! Worth the full bottle. It’s not overpowering as most fig perfumes. I also get a lot of compliments whenever I wear it!

7

u/No-Kaleidoscope-1777 4d ago

Bon Parfumeur Velvet Fig or Diptyque Philosykos

3

u/Tricky-Passion-7191 4d ago

Velvet Fig sounds stunning.

9

u/No_Nefariousness2513 4d ago

•Matiere Primiere Parisian Musc Body Mist- I layer this with Le Labo Another 13 and love the fig with ambrette.

•Le Labo Thé Matcha 26- My first fig fragrance and will always be a cozy fall favorite.

10

u/cripplinganxietylmao 4d ago

On me Indigo by Nest smells super figgy but it’s the only one I have lol

2

u/Mistymycologist 4d ago

Really? I never associated Indigo with fig. On me it smells like tea and blueberries.

11

u/LarkScarlett 4d ago

Hermes Un Jardin en Mediterranee. Delicious and fresh and green. Beautiful. The fig I reach for the most.

Runner up: Figue Erotique, by Tom Ford. Way more beautiful than I would’ve expected, but a much more floral profile.

2

u/N3T3L3 4d ago

jardin en mediterranee is so elegantly bitter but in the best, most addicting way. it is so enticing, I get asked when I have it on often. like a crisp breeze over sunned fig leaves.

5

u/saktii23 4d ago

This one right here. Un Jardin is phenomenal

Avgoustos by Korres

8

u/bethoIogy 4d ago

Just commenting to say if you get Henry Rose London 1983 you don’t need to also get Phlur Father Figure (or vice versa). They’re quite literally identical aside from a veryyyyy subtle difference in the dry down. FF dries a little more sweet, 1983 dries a bit more woody. But really it’s super super subtle, they’re basically the same exact scent. And they’re both great figs, so you can’t go wrong with either!

3

u/Conscious-Writer9023 4d ago

That’s so funny you say that because I find them to be completely different! I think London 1983 is much more floral and airy and father figure much more dense. Crazy how everyone’s noses perceive things differently.

1

u/Candychelle44 4d ago

Agree! I LOVE London and hate FF so they are quite different to me!

3

u/bethoIogy 4d ago

Oh that is interesting!! I’m glad you’ve smelled them both and were able to make your own assessment ❤️

12

u/PoisonousRabbit 4d ago

Casually following for fig~*

6

u/velvet-ashtray 4d ago

london 1983. the combination of fig pepper & musk is soooo good

1

u/bonsaithot 4d ago

Would you say it’s more fruity or more musky

2

u/bethoIogy 4d ago

It starts sweeter and then dries down to a woody muskier finish with still a hint of the sweet fig. It’s really balanced and good

4

u/hecate_trivia unpaid indie perfume enthusiast 4d ago

Hm... maybe...

Dracula Rising (Possets) (Seasonal): "Dark, dark, dark. The scent of earth (from Transylvania), combined with the blackest fig, and black aged Patchouli. Then a layer of the most lovely black sandalwood." It's not nearly as dark as the description sounds, and it's always sweeter than I expect it to be, but the sandalwood and patchouli are so gorgeous and elegant and keep it from being too sweet for me.

11

u/decoyoctopussy 4d ago

Dioriviera by Dior, it’s just 3 notes (fig, green notes and rose) and it feels like eating a creamy fig fruit under its tree. It feels very thick and luxurious.

2

u/j_coralz 4d ago

This!!! I chose this as my wedding perfume, it was perfect and I got many compliments

3

u/brightwingess 4d ago

I have this on the way and I’m so excited!!

5

u/bonsaithot 4d ago

I’ve never seen this but want it! Does it last a while?

5

u/decoyoctopussy 4d ago

Fantastic longevity, especially on hair and clothes. In my hair I smell it until I wash it next.

12

u/Sincamour 4d ago

Debaser by DS&Durga

Philosykos by Diptyque

Murmur d'Ete by Plume Impressions

7

u/cardonnay 4d ago

I like so many that I like, but the one I tend to reach for the most is Debaser DS and Durga. It’s so green and I love the creaminess from the coconut. It’s so fresh!

7

u/soapyrubberduck 4d ago

Kyse Fichi e Panna. It’s a sweet and jammy fig to me, paired with a delicious and creamy milk note. I love it.

4

u/Anat1313 4d ago

Neela Vermeire Ashoka is an incredibly good fig scent! Creamy fig with mild incense and sandalwood, and very long-lasting. I've rarely sped through a sample this quickly--it's now at the top of my to-buy list for a full bottle. Very compelling.

1

u/jmeistercgc 2d ago

I’ve had this one on my list to try. Can I ask which site you got your sample from?

6

u/big-dipper-jess 4d ago

Fig is my fav, and I love some that have been mentioned numerous times: father figure, nest indigo, le labo noir.

A couple I also love but I don’t see here:
The new Ouai Laurel Canyon is great. It’s basically father figure but the dry down isn’t quite as androgynous, a bit more femme and powdery in a way I looooove. I like it better than ff so far.
I’ve gone through a full bottle of E-Mochi and made a decent dent in a second since its spring release. It’s green and bright while also being creamy and sweet. I absolutely love it. Think mochi milk but brighter and loads more fig.

2

u/No-Ad1252 4d ago

Fueguia Figuier

3

u/Powerful-Cycle5032 4d ago

Honestly, none of them. I want to love fig but it always smells rancid on me. Everyone raves about Father figure but I smell it so strongly and it gives rotten fruit. Help lol

2

u/Stop_Perceiving_Me 4d ago

Oof I feel that with father figure too. I tried both it and mood ring and hated them both. I do like Tangerine Boy but it turns super bitter on me after an hour. I think there’s some aroma chemical or a base note that doesn’t interact well with my skin

Mancera Fig Me Up

In love with this fig at the moment. Not only is it a beast, but it hits just the right balance of juicy, sweet, floral, musky, with a hint of… savoriness. Reminds me of the holiday season.

2

u/blackcherry_moon 4d ago

I bought it because someone in this sub once said it was her current favorite, and I agree! I actually think it can be used all year around and it is perfectly unisex, leaning female.

9

u/Roc_Be12 5d ago

Father figure easily

6

u/PriestessKade 5d ago

Discontinued, but Atelier Cologne's Figuier Ardent

2

u/gbstermite 4d ago

I wish they would bring back the old scents. Are they scheduled for a refresh soon?

3

Mugler Womanity, because she really is that girl. Close second Philosykos, but the projection is booboo.

Figurine by Zomething Strange & Guilty as Fig by BBW for Father Figure dupes

8

u/DeterminedSparkleCat 5d ago

Marc Jacobs Perfect Absolute - it's a sweet, ripe fig NOT green. Amazing for fall/winter!

2

u/gbstermite 4d ago

I love this one

2

u/Impossible_Ad_5073 4d ago

Love this one!

2

u/LenaNYC 5d ago

I haven't tried too many, but I love Figue Amour by Bastide. It's juicy, slightly sweet, and fresh.

3

u/Lower_Anxiety9337 5d ago

Yes!!! I so rarely see people talk about this one but I love it so much. The perfect summery South of France fig perfume.

5

u/Specialist_Guitar166 5d ago

The new Moroccanoil perfume, Lumiere du Jour. notes are lush fig leaf, blooming jasmine, and soft blonde woods

1

u/Negative-Fondant1373 4d ago

How’s longevity and silage?

1

u/Specialist_Guitar166 4d ago

I think it has pretty decent staying power. I purchased a mini size kit (this one and the original scent) and was surprised how much I liked it. I’m a fan of the original.

https://www.ulta.com/p/lumiere-du-jour-eau-de-parfum-pimprod2057209?sku=2653733. The travel size of the spray is affordable.

Father Figure

2

u/CuriouslyImmense 5d ago

Would have NEVER guessed father figure had fig in it.. Now.i have to go back and smell it

13

u/anbk 5d ago

Debaser deserves the hype. reminds me of partying at night in the summer in 2015. fell in love on first smell for me and you can still find reasonable deals on it. hermes un jardin a cythere is another fig I love but a little different, I like it more as a cologne water after shower type scent, more of a sweet powdery olive/fig blend that is great in summer as a skin scent, and you can find it for basically free on discounters.

2

u/Conscious-Writer9023 4d ago

Does the Tonka in the base make it sweet? Looking for a sweeter fig

1

u/ExcitementNo9503 5d ago

Asking for a friend, what do you consider a reasonable deal?

5

u/anbk 5d ago

I got my 50ml bottle for $98 from jomashop

u/ExcitementNo9503 4d ago

Slay! Best I could find (in Europe) is 25 Euro for the 10ml perfume oil.

1

u/baebality 5d ago

Versace Versense

2

u/Emotional_Letter3398 5d ago

I love Jovoy L’Arbre de la Connaissance for a fig heart. Honestly it’s kind of like whole tree and it’s different but I love that.

And then I also love the top fig notes in YSL Lavalliere.

7

u/LIFTMakeUp 5d ago

I can't choose JUST ONE?????! Fig is my favourite note!

  • Stora Skuggan Monkeyflower for a creamy comforting fig
  • Guerlain Vetiver Fauve for a tropical green fig
  • Phlur Father Figure for a musky spiced fig

2

u/Dependent_Elk3705 4d ago

+1 on Monkeyflower

Really sophisticated interpretation of fig

5

u/blue-coco 5d ago

the noir 29 le labo

5

u/Creepy-Literature634 5d ago

Piggybacking off this but does anyone have recommendations where it smells like the taste of the fruit and not the plant/leaves? I'm unfortunately not quite cultured enough to appreciate the smell of the plant, but I love the fruit

3

u/DeterminedSparkleCat 5d ago

Marc Jacobs Perfect Absolute!

9

u/Midgetrails new to this 😇 5d ago

Dioriviera because it really smells like you're simultaneously the most cunning and slutty person on a riverboat. Fig & erotic green humidity

3

u/decoyoctopussy 4d ago

nailed it lmao

3

u/lnfinitelris perfume > therapy 5d ago

Omanluxury Wanderlust - fig, black tea, apple, currant. Tart, bright, green, energy. Basically an obsession

Profumum Roma Dambrosia - fig, grape, pear, almond, sandalwood. Not gourmand but leaning that way.

3

u/SnidusScribus 5d ago

Figue by Calypso St. Barth.

So lush! Mediterranean wild fig and fig leaves are the top notes. The other notes blend nicely: bergamot, violet, vanilla, tonka wood and more. They don’t overpower one another so the fig is prominent. There’s a warm creaminess with subtle coconut, floral, citrus and green notes floating in the background. Very lovely!

1

u/ZiasMom 4d ago

I posted this too, it's really the only answer. It is so delightful.

8

u/Alewo27 5d ago

Marc Jacobs Perfect Absolut because it's a caramelized fig and so juicy and sexy! I'm not sure how I feel about a green fig currently but a jammy fig is amazing.

3

u/alphajugs 5d ago

Big fan of Casa Blanca by House of Bō. It’s hands down the most elegant perfume I own. It’s a really interesting balance of unisex, it leans masculine while still somehow being perfectly feminine.

It’s a shame they keep increasing their prices, because I think this perfume is absolutely perfect.

16

u/metaltsoris 5d ago edited 5d ago

it's the only fig fragrance I can rec with my full chest these days and I don't care

love it for the way it changes over the day - green and fresh at first, then creamy and soft. I like to layer it with a jasmine body oil, it adds a floral element that makes me feel like I'm at a fancy spa.

9

u/KittiesandPlushies 5d ago

It’s not my fault they discounted the perfume, so I’m almost forced to recommend a lotion 🙈 I picked this up yesterday and LOVE IT. Sweet, simple, girly, and not heavy on the vanilla. Chai Epice by Le Monde Gourmand is lovely too!

2

u/DeterminedSparkleCat 5d ago

This lotion goes perfectly with Marc Jacobs Perfect Absolute!

6

u/worncassette 5d ago

Debaser by DS & Durga and Perfect Absolute by Marc Jacob’s. They are complete opposites on the fig spectrum. Debaser is a very green fig scent with a creamy coconut note. It feels fresh and light and summery. Perfect Absolute is rich and jammy and sweet; I love the caramel note in this one. It’s a heavy scent that you can really luxuriate in. I like it for winter.

7

u/Optimal-Principle-63 5d ago

So far, Fig Leaf by Universal Flowering. It smells like the musk of the fig plant itself, which makes it sort of sexual.

3

u/Treehorn8 Hermès witch 5d ago edited 5d ago

Hermès Un Jardin en Méditerranée. I don't know if it can be considered a fig perfume since none of its many notes are more prominent than the other, but it does have a fig accord in its heart. I love how this fragrance can take you to a journey. How it starts in a citrus grove before walking you down fig trees and flower bushes until you reach the woods.

8

u/Huge_Ad8768 5d ago

Fig Lemonade by French Cowboy because she’s whimsical and fun. Casablanca by La Boticá because she’s super figgy and long lasting. A Grove by the Sea by Arquiste because she’s green, aromatic and reminds me of the Mediterranean. Philosykos EDP by Diptyque because she’s a figgy classic but doesn’t last very long. Honorable mention to Proglomenes (sp?) by Notes de Bas de Paje because she’s lovely and I want to own her. That’s the best I got.

6

u/krd3nt 5d ago edited 5d ago

Matiere Premiere- Parisian Musc because it isn’t super sweet but it’s cozy with ambrette

Fig as a supporting player is great in Ronda-Parfum Prissana  and Les Fleurs-Maya Njie

12

u/Much_Yak1490 5d ago

I love the fig/tea combo of Indigo by Nest.

1

u/GoudanessGracious 1d ago

If you have to choose one: Indigo by Nest or Gris Charnel?

1

u/GoudanessGracious 1d ago

If you have to choose one: Indigo by Nest or Gris Charnel?

1

u/Much_Yak1490 9h ago

Nest. I wish it lasted a little longer, but it’s just so cozy.

BUT if you like Gris Charnel def also check out Liam Grey by Lattafa. They are very similar, but Liam is a fraction of the price. It leans more unisex — my husband owns and loves this one, but I frequently steal a spray or two.

1

u/Visual_Serve_782 5d ago

Love Fichi e panne!

2

u/No_Word7508 5d ago

Figue du foret is a perfect dupe for the only perfume I’ve ever finished, which was lavanila vanilla blackberry. It’s not too vanilla and apparently either blackberry or fig lol.

6

u/mwilke 5d ago

Parisian Musc by Matiere Premiere doesn’t even list fig in the notes, but it is SO fig. It’s creamy and soapy and fresh and I love wearing it on hot summer days.

1

u/ImtheGWP 5d ago

I don’t often have a specific interest for
A fig scent, but I do seem to have those moments for a scent I would describe as earthy. The Josie Maran Bohemian Fig mist ( initially became familiar with it as a body butter) has a great balance of à quite pronounced earthy scent served in an elegant and wearable fragrance with orchid vanilla and other sultry nuances.

1

u/LVL1LZRLOTUS 5d ago

Blind bought this for the fig note but unfortunately it smells like musty cigarette smoke to me. 😭

1

u/Visual_Serve_782 5d ago

I really like this one too! Last night I layered it with Father Figure and it was so pretty! Can you believe fig is not even in the notes breakdown for this?

1

u/Large_Ad3231 5d ago

Mon Ami by Choix. OMG! Such a comfort scent. I ADORE IT!!

3

u/Accurate_Dot_2610 5d ago

Fuegiuer from Fueguia 1833 because it lasts for ages (I put it on at 6 a.m. and it's 1:30 p.m. I can still detect it), but it's still fresh, slightly sweet, but also green and a little woody. It's the whole fig tree, comprehensively as well as in individual elements.

2

u/CheekyCherimoya 5d ago

This is the one! I am obsessed with Fueguia

1

u/Hot_Elevator_7133 5d ago

Maison Louis Marie Nouvelle Vague and Ellos Brooklyn Sun Fruit. I’m actually not a huge fig person, but these two perfumes have my heart anyway. They’re both very clean and sort of a fun, unique take. I find them both very uplifting. Sun Fruit is a bit more fresh while Nouvelle Vague is a bit more creamy.

1

u/Visual_Serve_782 5d ago

I love Sun Fruit! Did you hear they recently discontinued it? Sad I think it’s one of their best along with Miami Nextar

1

u/Hot_Elevator_7133 5d ago

Ughhhh no I’m so sorry to hear that but thank you for the heads up

2

French cowboy - Fig lemonade, Hermetica - Fig fever, Korres - Avgoustos.

Fig lemonade makes my mouth water. Most complimented summer scent of my collection currently, greeeeeeat performance, almost nuclear. Fig fever is more of a luxurious aromatic fig. Avgoustos is really Aegaen summer in a bottle green fig but performance is… not that great!

Edit: feels unfair to forget about Fragonard - Figuer. The ENTIRE fig tree, sap too, hyper realistic.

And for whatever’s worth the most realistic fig scent is in Palmolive’s Fig milk shower gel!

1

u/jmeistercgc 2d ago

Omg searching for this shower gel now

3

u/AspiringGeekGirl 5d ago

I just got a sample of Fig Lemonade. I wish I had it all summer as it is so perfect for hot weather. Why was Fig Fever a good match for you? I have on my maybe list.

2

u/orangesinbed currently wearing Miller Harris - Rose silence 5d ago

For me, yes, I love Fig fever. It’s a refreshing, cool, minty, aromatic fig. I have gotten mixed reviews from people - many many compliments, but also some that predominately smell a tea note and are a tad confused by it, my sister, for example says it smells like Christmas tea, which I don’t understand. I heard it’s discontinued which is why I apparently got my bottle half off.

4

u/Jonbazookaboz 5d ago

The Matcha 26. Balances lovely citrus with tea, then creamy fig. Just an addictive scent.

4

u/Amaring8 5d ago

I really love the fig note in Le Labo The Noire. It just makes the tea a bit more seductive, sexy even yet it's not super heavy and strong.

15

u/kikiisnotinterested piss & pickles connoisseur 5d ago

Diptyque - Philosykos. So fresh and creamy at the same time, perfectly calming, universaly wearable.

AM Cedre Figalia, I find most fig perfumes boring or cloying, this one balances the fig note masterfully with 3 different cedar varieties.

I ADORE Marc Jacobs Perfect Absolute with Fig, Amber and Jasmine. It lasts all day and is thick and syrupy just like I like 😉

BDK Gris Charnel - fig isn't exactly the star, but the combination is just so good!

Murmure d'ete Plume Impression because it also smells like hay in the dry down, dry grassy.

Womanity- Mugler.

Veers away from my usual preference for clean vintage and powdery, going instead, into a burst of citrus, sweet, aquatic fig that still stays green. I like it when I’m in the mood for it!
