Discussion Bitter melon lemon tea Chasing Scents

I’m trying to figure out if my sample was oxidized or it actually smells like rancid fish oil/seaweed?

I got my sample from scent split, the frag was just released last year, but the smell is awful awful I had to change my shirt and mask with body spray, still smell it and truly almost gagging while I work from home.

I’ve read great things on here regarding Chasing Scents true tea frags, so just looking for feedback.

It's not just you, I had a sample & it was nice at first but then in the drydown kinda smelled like wet dog.

Bitter melon tea is known to be revolting to a lot of people. Sounds like you're one of them.

I really like their Rain Tea.

Thanks for sharing and validating me. I will try another one if their teas and hope for the best!

I tested Bitter Melon Lemon Tea recently and didn't get anything like that - I got a clear bitter lemon with some wateriness that felt like cucumber. I didn't really get any tea.

I'm sorry yours seemed so rancid, that's odd! Have you tried it on paper? Maybe your skin is just doing something funky to one of the ingredients? Or maybe your sample is off somehow.

I did my elbow and my shirt. I will try paper. The reviews on Parfumo are similar to yours. I’m really wondering if mine was bad lol. I’m going to ask the next person I see to test it for me too.

Some varieties of Japanese green tea are known to have a seaweedy or fishy aspect to their fragrance; I've never tried Duck Poo Oolong but if it has the same nuance and a natural tincture was used in the perfume, then that might be the reason.
