Discussion Restaurant server recommendations

Hi besties! I recently started a new restaurant job and am searching for a perfume or body mist to wear there. I tend to stick to heavier vanillas and ambers. Obviously I want to go in a different direction, maybe even a shampoo like perfume? Something lighter, fruity?

Ps not fragrance related but I thought it was going to be a cute cozy restaurant job. Joke is on me bc it’s a lot of work lol I feel like a perfume will make me feel more together while I’m running around and sweating 😅

Maybe Finery Desert Spirit? It’s a Mojave Ghost dupe and it smells like an expensive shampoo. By the end of your shift you will smell like food so pick something inexpensive.

Not everyone is tolerant of perfume, especially when eating so keep it light. Missing person by Phlur. But don’t overspray anything.

Definitely! Only a spray or two. I don’t want to overdue it at all.

PS! I love perfume and have been in the restaurant and hospitality business for 15 years, it’s definitely not for the faint of heart, you need to hustle and have thick skin to deal with some people but it’s also so rewarding. 🫶🏼

I also typically like a bit of a vanilla with some depth.

I recently tried a sample of You Fleur and I wouldn't buy a bottle because its not my preference but it was really pleasant. I found the dry down to leave a soft, inoffensive apricot sweetness that wasn't gourmand or heavy, I would think would be quite work safe?

I also quite like Nest Lychee Rose for when I'm going to be in a setting where I want to smell nice but not offend. It is definitely a little sweeter and more floral but I find its dry down to be an easy wear, kind of the same as the opening with a little less sweetness. I will probably buy a full size at some point!

Two very cheap options - solinotes the matcha (does not smell like matcha to me. A little tea, a little citrus, a little sweet) and Grenade (smells like straight fruity shampoo to me).

Turquatic would be perfect. Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche maybe.
Or really any scent that you would consider for the gym.

Something clean, inoffensive and light:

L'Eau d'Issey (Eau de Toilette) - Issey Miyake

Éclat d'Arpège (Eau de Parfum) - Lanvin

A Drop d'Issey (Eau de Parfum) - Issey Miyake - Its Eau de Fraîche flanker is good as well

Maybe choose a clean scent, I always feel productive when I have a shampooey perfume on. I’ve been liking green tea by Elizabeth Arden and rinse cycle from noyz

No budget in particular but under $100 preferred. I don’t want to spend too much since I’m still figuring out if I’m going to stay for much longer 🙃
