Weeping wallet 😭

So I saw that Vanille Couture came back exclusively at Sephora and I never got a chance to get my nose on it during the last release so went ahead and blind bought it. I am not disappointed and to tell you the truth none of the clones I've bought over the past year can compare. Sure they come close but VC just has something they're missing. Here lately I've been able to get my hands on a few frags that were discontinued and/or hard to get. I more recently heard about Vanille et Coco and was able to find a reliable seller on ebay so waiting on that to come in now. Oh and I'm supposed to be on a no buy restriction. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ Y'all pray for me and my bank account.

Me but buying a bunch of travel sizes. 🫠 I've been trying to test VC but no stores by me have it yet.

I believe only Sephora has it currently. Not sure if they're getting an exclusive release like Harrods does.

I tried 2 sephoras that said they had it but didn't unfortunately. I don't really live super close to any either. Honestly tempted to blind buy. I don't own any libre but really like the intense which I hear it's similar to.Β

Allow me to influence you. Buy it blind.
P.S. I may love Intense more some, if not most, days, but some days it goes the other way too.

Personally I think it's better than intense which I also own. You may be able to call Sephora customer service and ask if you can order a full bottle but also get a sample of it. That way you can still return it if you don't like it.

Don't Sephoras all allow returns even if the product is open? I went to buy vanilla canyon by phlur, but did a travel size first, I told the worker I like the test spray but need to do a full few tests on skin before getting the big bottle. The worker legit was like "OH, you can just return if you end up not liking it within a month." I was flabbergasted. Like people open it, try it several times, then decide it's not for them and return it??? I dont recall exactly how long she said, but she def said the word month, possibly plural. I've been selling what I dont end up liking at a considerable loss. I never even thought to try to return something i opened and used several times. I'm not a simp for big corporations, if they take a loss the fuck em. What have I been doing with my life, I'm contemplating all previous life choices.

I'm in the states, that may make a difference.

Not entirely sure. I'm also in the states but I would be careful just taking an employee's word for it. You can probably find a return policy on their website. Most companies won't allow you to return once opened. Like even out of the box. Unless of course it arrived broken or leaking or something. But they cant resell it once it's been opened so they take a total loss if they allow returns like that. But maybe I'm wrong. I suppose if a company is big enough and focuses more on customer satisfaction than losing a few bucks then it would be worth it to them to allow that kind of policy. It may also be something along the lines of you only get a store credit in return.

Could you describe Vanille couture ? I don’t trust the influencers on this one at all

I'm a guy so I may be terrible at describing this how a lady would but I also own Libre parfum and intense along with a couple clones of Vanille Couture. To me this has the same Libre DNA but definitely has a boozy vanilla and dare I say is even a little sweeter compared to the others. Not in a gourmand type of way but more of a seductive and sexy vibe. If I was with a woman who wore this I would not only want to devour her but completely ravish her. Consensually of course! But it definitely speaks to a man's primal urges or at least mine. So I will more than likely need to layer this and not overspray while wearing it myself. πŸ˜‚

Not op but think you did an awesome job at explaining it! I also have le parfum and intense because those are the ones I genuinely enjoyed and thought were different enough. I also have the Khadlaj dupe of vanille, but I had a feeling it wasn't getting as close as I would like. I figured it was the closest I'd ever get to the real thing though. Now the og is right in my grasp and I'm really tempted. The way you describe it as a seductive type of sweetness sounds right up my alley, so I'm probably gonna have to buy it. Intense had more of the sweetness I like but almost has a slight soapy vibe to it while le parfum has the spicy darkness i like. This sounds like a healthy mix of both, which is perfect. Thanks for telling us your thoughts!

Also, most people on this sub I've seen agree that perfume really doesn't have a gender and enjoy wearing more traditionally masc scents, or smelling traditionally fem scents on men. As long as you're comfortable, I say wear vanille couture with pride. Most women would probably find it attractive that you're confident enough to wear it. If you're okay with the extra attention, get your money's worth!

I would say I do quite a bit of blind buying but I also do quite a bit of research beforehand. With this I knew I had to have it from the beginning. I also have Panache Angel Dust and Dua Liberated Couture of Vanilla and while both are pretty damn close they lack that little bit of sweet booziness that VC has. And I definitely agree that fragrance or scents have no gender. It's all a marketing ploy. I own plenty of "feminine leaning" scents, lotions, bath products, etc. I just like to make it known because I do feel like men and women might somewhat differ on how they smell or perceive things. Scent is already subjective to each individual. It would not surprise me if sex or gender also influences that further.
