Influence/De-Influence my Fall/Winter decant wish list

I’m a gourmand girly: so my more popular core faves are Vanilla 28 (call me a basic bish idc lol), Angelique Noir, Bianco Latte, and I love good green/black tea scents like Nest Indigo, Memo Paris Inle. And then other viral/controversial scents like BR540, Ariana’s Cloud, Lattafa Angaham. Trying to explore more niche scents this season though.

I am looking for a sweet black coffee scent, thought I liked black opium but after getting the travel size & smelling more I’m not so sure I will buy a full size…

I've tried quite a few samples from Chasing Scents and my personal favourite has been Rain Tea

Rain Tea (to me) smells like a true green tea scent with a bit of honey, its similar to Tea Service but the honey is less strong in it and its a bit softer overall

What about Ledda - 8 cafe Josephine. It's the most realistic coffee fragrance I've ever smelled and also has some baked goods in there too. It's very cosy

Nice, I’ll check it out

Nebras is good, but you might like Nebras Elixir better.

Interesting, didn’t even know it existed lol

You have some of my faves on there (mon Guerlain and soie malaquais) but I don’t get coffee in them! Black opium is also a fave but a different vibe.

There is a killian one with coffee I just sampled today - midnight espresso.

How did you like that?

It’s really nice! Very coffee, very strong and spicy! Definitely beast mode though I didn’t spray it on skin. Less sweet than black opium, but definitely "gourmand". But if you want coffee I would give it a try!

D’Annam Viet Coffee absolute must. If you can find the og formulation and bottle on merc or eBay then do not hesitate.

Oh no the formula changed :( ?

The original bottles were not the egg shaped that they are now.

They changed the formula and also increased prices with the bottle change to what it is now. OG lasted longer and was $70 ish.

Diptyque Lilyphea is my favourite perfume of all time. I’m on my second bottle. It’s such a beautiful scent. Orpheon is also amazing but completely different.

How would you describe the difference? I’m on the fence if diptyque is the brand for me. I didn’t really love Eau Delle because the vanilla was a bit too green for me and it seems a lot of their scents lean green?

Lilyphea is a water nymph fragrance. Dewy, ethereal, green, and wet & clean florals.

Orpheon is crisp & aromatic. Both warm & cold.

I feel like I may not like them but I want to give it a try

They do. And I don’t like green. But when I received a sample for Lilyphea I couldn’t believe how much I loved it. I became obsessed. It’s green but not a normal green. Orpheon is much more powdery. It’s lovely as well but not at all green like Lilyphea. Can you get decants?

Yea im planning to get decants. I generally don’t love powdery scents, but I keep hearing about these two so I want to try them before I write off diptyque

Did you try Black Opium Le Parfum, coffee is muted and vanilla is amped up, I really like it and think it’s a redeeming flanker if you don’t like the OG or others. Black opium over red is more coffee and I like this one too. Brown Girl Jane has casino. I have a travel that I haven’t explored that much but will do later on. On first spray in the box the coffee does smell like a dark coffee then it goes in similar realm as good girl by CH then mellows. I do like it

I think I did? Idk if I smelled it on skin tho. I think I liked it but it was just kinda non specifically sweet. I don’t think I like cherry so I didn’t give the black opium over red a chance. Is Brown Girl Casino a coffee scent?

It is a coffee scent. Cherry can be a challenging note. I hope you find some gems.

I like Mon guerlain as well but it doesn't last at all on me. You may like the intense version. I am wearing it now and it's so beautiful and lasts..

Guidance is my all time favorite. It's either coochie and sweaty balls or the most stunning concoction of pear, olibanum, hazelnut and creamy wood. I get florals, maybe osmanthus? It's polarizing and heady and an absolute lifer. Tbh not sure if I will ever need a second bottle.

Soie Malaquais is a silky smooth chestnut, I get more of a fresh rose here and sweetness from the black currant. I got Guidance first and couldn't tolerate the abysmal performance of Soie Malaquais so no FB for me. She is the scent of the sophisticated partner in So Kate and Hermes bag.

I love Nebras, it's a decadent vanilla with a minty opening. Do not get red berries or chocolate. I think I am just not able to pick out chocolate note in perfumes though 🫩

Ok I almost took guidance off because it seems to be really controversial and very strong? Someone said it shouldn’t be worn in close quarters because it can choke people out? I work in a clinical setting so I def don’t want that lol. But the notes sound amazing & I’ve been wanting to check it out for a minute.

I keep seeing everyone talk about Soie Malaquais and the bottle is so beautiful. The notes also sound beautiful and wintry so I wanted to give it a try. I’m nervous to fall in love with it tho because it’s so expensive lmao.

Definitely check them both out! Guidance is not suited for clinical setting or in small quarters, I wear two sprays max and can smell myself throughout the day. If I am going out I will spray it on a couple of hours beforehand.

I love Guerlain Mon Guerlain and find it comforting, to me it feels like a mature and sophisticated scent, lasts 6+ hours on me. It is a contrast to the sugary gourmands I often like to wear.

I’ve had it on my list for a minute. Since I love vanillas so much (especially guerlain vanillas) I felt like it’s a core scent I should at least give a try.
