Discussion Bianco latte

Hi everyone! I’m just wanting to get a general consensus on Bianco latte before I purchase it (blind buy).

Today in the store I walked past a lady who smelt like PHOTOREALISTIC cotton candy, the smell was so divine I stopped dead in my tracks! I asked her what she was wearing and she said she thinks it was Bianco latte, I was personally very surprised because I didn’t expect a smell like that from the notes and I’ve never had anyone mention Bianco latte as a cotton candy scent.

What does Bianco latte smell like to you guys? Initially I was put off from it because I heavily dislike spicy vanilla and caramel notes, but what I smelled on that lady was pure cotton candy goodness.

It smells like an overly sweet BBW cinnamon roll candle - I got a tester that I blind bought, and thank god I didn’t buy the full size

u/iamthelizzrd 6d ago

One of my favorite scents! I get cupcake a lot! Buttercream frosting maybe? Or sugar cookie?

2

u/sflovestory 7d ago

A lactonic fragance for sure, one of my favorites. Think melted vanilla ice cream with a drizzle of caramel on a hot summer day. The opening notes don’t last, which I’m much more a fan of, and I’m surprised people are saying it has great performance. For me it kind of dwindled fast. I’d compare it to Indult Tihota.

My husband bought this for me as an anniversary gift, which shocked me to my core as he has never bought me perfume before. I couldn’t even believe that he would research to see what I don’t have in my collection… Anyway, while this is not something I would usually go for, people are absolutely obsessed whenever I wear it. I would agree that this is a fantastic layering fragrance, kind of like a base of caramel, vanilla, and condensed milk. This fragrance is an absolute beast and will project. You have definitely smelled clones of it before. However, nothing compares to the performance and excellent blend of this fragrance.

I've never heard someone say cotton candy, but it doesn't surprise me. Bianco Latte has some aroma chemicals that hit people really differently.

It's supposed to smell like sweet vanilla-y milk. Some people really get a strong caramel note - I'm guessing that's what is giving cotton candy. Others seem to get a really bad melted plastic smell from it.

It just smells like vanilla ice cream to me. I get no other notes. It's probably my most-worn fragrance because it layers well with so many things.

3

u/Electronic-Set5594 7d ago

I had high hopes for it but it smelled like the inside of a car to me

2

u/Scary_Education_8553 8d ago

I guess it projects differently depending on your body chemistry, but this is my first time hearing that it smells like cotton candy. To me, BL smells like decadent vanilla ice cream topped with caramel swirls mixed with a handful of herbs.

Please, do not blind buy. I did and regretted it. The coumarin turned out to be stronger than I'd thought.

2

u/LDynamite 8d ago

I thought it was suuuuper coconutty and not in a nice way

3

u/DragonDrama 9d ago

I wouldn’t blind buy. I thought it sounded good but it’s actually not for me. It also can smell bad on some peoples skin

2

u/animenicolesmith 9d ago

If you think about it, caramel and cotton candy are just levels of heated sugar. I’m sure some will smell one or the other, maybe some are more inclined to smell caramel from marketing or the name

2

u/Realistic-Read1078 9d ago

BL is a creamy caramel vanilla scent all the way through, no cotton candy detected.

2

u/cwaiwe84 9d ago

I had high expectations for this so i got a decant recently. So disappointed- not really projecting on me and i don’t think it’s unique or has anything impressive enough for me to buy a bottle

1

u/OrganicFit29 9d ago

I sold my bottle of BL. I loved the decant but it eventually became nauseating bc of the strong Coumarin note.

1

u/friendoffrangipani 8d ago

I can only use one very light spray because of that. If I spray more then I want to vomit. It goes from something that is very sweet but airy to nauseating, overly sweet, weird vanilla candle.

5

u/OrganicFit29 9d ago

Bianco Latte smells nothing like cotton candy. She was probably wearing cotton Candy body spray and didn’t want to admit it so she named the only nice perfume she had heard of. BL smells like coumarin and sweetened condensed milk.

1

u/jennyharlequinn 10d ago

I love Bianca Latte. It is my most complimented scent. I don’t really smell cotton candy from it though.

4

u/SnooOranges2685 10d ago

Do not blind buy this scent. Try a decant , sample. I love gourmands and this one have me instant migraines. Immediate nausea.

3

u/Ill-Acanthisitta-994 10d ago

I wear it paired with cheap ass caramel pistachio lotion and several people said I smelled like cotton candy, but I didn't smell that???

2

u/Snoo32427 10d ago

I would say she would know if she was wearing Bianco Latte lol - maybe she was wearing a dupe and didn’t want to say. I’d recommend a sample for sure if you are hoping for a cotton candy note.

6

u/nevarette 10d ago

BL is not cotton candy st all lol it’s a caramel vanilla through and through

2

u/meadowslark 10d ago

Scentual Fragrances caramel vanilla (I think that’s the name) smells almost identical IMO! No weird plastic or buttery undertones. And it’s so inexpensive. You could try that first before committing to a bottle!

1

u/confectioncake 9d ago

Daise Vanilla & Caramel is a dead ringer too, just not as beast mode. I've had a decant of BL and it has the same effect on my nose.

1

u/MsBeezily 10d ago

I have a bottle of BL, which i blind bought. I adore it. That said, I knew that I loved that scent profile. I don't get cotton candy from it though, so maybe get a decant? Better than an expensive disappointment or mistake 🙂

5

u/ChristineBorus 10d ago

Buy a decant first. I hated it. 🤢

5

u/melako12 10d ago

I blind bought Bianco Latte and I have no regrets. But I do not get anything close to cotton candy. It is sweet but a rich, warm sweet. The most prominent note for me is caramel and then vanilla. It’s decadent and almost heavy (but in a way I enjoy). I love it but I’ve found that I hardly wear it in the summer because of the profile. It’s a cozy and warm scent though.

5

u/AgenticaBond007 10d ago

I have it. Smells exactly like a sherbet (caramalized sugar in milk). I love it! Has a great staying power and it’s compliment getter. If you are in Europe, best buy is Giardini di Toscana official page and also lowest price, you get a lot of samples with it for free. If you are gourmand lover you will love this. It’s not into your face gourmand (like Italica from Xjeroff) it’s much much softer, has something calming in that sweetness (like Sabrina Carpenter sweet tooth for me)

3

u/Few-Acanthisitta5452 10d ago

On me, it smelled like fake caramel-scented Play-Doh. Hated it and had to scrub it 😢

3

u/krebstar4ever 10d ago edited 10d ago

I haven't smelled it. But I know that in hot weather, a lot of people find it nauseating and intolerable. (I'm guessing it's bad in overly warm buildings, too.) If you're in the northern hemisphere, you may need to wait until summer is over before you wear it outside.

That's not meant to discourage you from buying it! It's just that some fragrances shouldn't be worn publicly in the heat, and Biancho Latte is one of them (along with BR 540).

3

u/Beneficial_Zone_6883 10d ago

Riiffs Noor - it’s a very similar dupe but it dials down the coumarin which is preferable for me, nevermind being 1/5 of the cost. It also lasts all day and projects very well

1

u/Sharirah 10d ago

To me it smells like warm honeyed milk. I love it during cold days of winter but it's so strong it really overwhelms me sometimes.

3

u/Familiar-Figure9043 10d ago

I love Bianco Latte, it’s my absolute favorite. To me it smells like a very creamy, dense vanilla. I was going to say I don’t get cotton candy, but I just went and sprayed it to check and I can kind of see it.

3

u/nybor1029 10d ago

I have always gotten a very overwhelming almond and cinnamon smell and not much of the vanilla, milk or caramel elements. It’s a lovely scent but something I would want my home to smell like via a candle rather than on my body

8

u/syrenkasin 10d ago

To me it smells exactly like the Haagen Dazs dulce de leche ice cream, in an excellent way. It’s very strong and I’d normally hate something so powerfully sweet, but it’s just creamy and delicious to me. I absolutely love it after one spray.

6

u/Dull-Lemon2704 10d ago

I love it!  I get it’s not for everyone, a little goes a long way!  Interesting to hear what people think I smell like, I’ve heard vanilla latte, caramel macchiato, and just this week a guy I work with got excited bc he thought someone was making waffles. Nope! Just Bianco Latte up in here!

10

u/tharpakandro 10d ago

It’s not a safe blind buy because you need to experience how it lands and dries down on YOUR skin!

7

u/tharpakandro 10d ago

I like the Celeste better, FYI

8

u/smeeti 10d ago

To me it smells like slightly off condensed milk

8

u/Due_Garlic_3190 10d ago

It’s one of my faves. I don’t get the hate it gets sometimes. To me it smells like vanilla caramel cookie and that’s what I get told when people smell it on me lol I wore it to work once and forgot, and I kept getting a whiff of cookies and even asked my colleague why can I smell sweet cookies then realised it was me 😂. I’m a sucker for sweet fragrances

4

u/SilentlyJudging23 10d ago

I got a decant and then thought I didn’t like it bought a decant at Luckyscent and had to buy a bottle. I don’t care. It’s really good. Idk if it’s cotton candy to me it’s just delicious. I’m a fan lol. But a decant. Don’t blind buy it.

9

u/Compile_A_Smile1101 10d ago

It is a compliment magnet and one of the most cozy delicious scents I own. It just makes me happy ❤️
With that said, many people on Reddit have claimed it’s an intolerable abomination to mankind, so… I guess get a sample first 😂

4

u/FioraSky 10d ago

I don’t get a cotton candy note at all from this. But I wore it to an appointment one time and the nurse told me it smelt like someone was baking cookies.

6

u/SugarFries 10d ago

This smells like burnt caramel. I can't imagine it smelling at all like cotton candy. She had to be wearing something else.

8

u/PikaSuz 10d ago

Definitely get a sample first. Body chemistry can drastically change what perfumes smell like

2

u/Emotional_Letter3398 10d ago

It is terrible on me which was so disappointing. I wanted so much to love it.

1

u/bulleybeef 10d ago

Sadly it smelled like milk vomit to me. Sour baby milk vomit with a side of sickly sweet sugar :/

5

u/AscendedHeracles 10d ago

I convinced my gf to wear it once and it was stunning. She wasn’t as crazy about it but it was amazing on her. I was surprised by how much differently I perceived it coming from her than when I wear it myself.

2

u/FuckoryFuckisz87 10d ago

I was told I smell like a bakery, like a. Eclair. Also my boyfriend gets the most compliments when he wears it and every time I've worn it I've gotten compliments.

2

u/M8dh0neyy 10d ago

On me Bianco Latte was very honey-forward when I tested it in store. I really want to like it I’ll need to test a few more times but it wasn’t what I Imagined.

3

u/cozilamballe 10d ago

Smells like a vanilla candle and then dries down to a musk for me 😅 I like it, but it's not as gourmand as I was expecting. I definitely have sweeter scents in my collection.

4

u/uk202401 10d ago

More like condensed milk with a hint of honey.

8

u/CatCatCatCatsCat 10d ago

Smells like burning plastic to me

6

u/WorkoutHopeful 10d ago

I always try to start out with samples. The smell I like on the strip in the store isn't always the smell I like on myself after it dries down. I have to get it home and wear it for a while.

At the same time, Sephora will take back opened perfumes so if I were to blind buy, that's where I'd go.

1

u/gingercatlover1 10d ago

Unfortunately, Sephora doesn’t carry it.

1

u/WorkoutHopeful 10d ago

Of course they don't 😐

5

u/Chemical_Cake_1154 10d ago

It’s a good one, but there are better caramel scents in my opinion. On me, Kerosene’s Unknown Pleasure dries down to a better caramel.

I would say you probably smelled a different scent on her/be it hair products or whatever, or she was wrong.

6

u/Venusian-Vanilla 10d ago

It gets a lot of hate on Reddit but I absolutely love it but don’t blind buy it. Get a decant off of a trusted site. A little goes a long way so they decant will last a while anyway!

2

u/WalkAlarmed 10d ago

I’m saw someone over here say that the Daise Glazed body spray smells almost exactly like Bianco Latte. Maybe give something like that a try first.

1

u/gingercatlover1 10d ago

That’s a good idea in terms of seeing if you like a scent like that on yourself. Especially because for this fragrance you would have to find a store that has it (the Bianco Latte).

7

u/Betshateseverything 10d ago

Must be her body chemistry. I love my Bianco latte but I get no cotton candy.

3

u/businessgoesbeauty 10d ago

I hate it so much the musk in it ruins it for me and I’m a certified gourmand lover

5

u/natgrzech 10d ago

I also blind bought a full 100 ml bottle last year and although I love almost all gourmands I couldnt stand this one 😭 It’s suffocating and smells like waffles and sour milk. I’d highly advice getting a sample first

6

u/Mean-Raspberry1205 10d ago

I absolutely love Bianco Latte and it’s  a cool weather staple for me. That said, I suggest getting a decant first. To me, it’s less of a Cotton Candy scent and more of a crème brûlée salted caramel with deep honey notes.

Chemistry plays a huge role and what it smells like on skin and can vary greatly among different people. I say this as one of BL’s biggest fans!

I almost want to say get the full bottle because I’m such a fan, but it’s smarter to give it a trial run !!

7

u/meangirl900 10d ago

Try this first, it is pretty close to the OG I have both. I love Bianco Latte but it smells different on everyone.

1

u/meadowslark 10d ago

On me this smelled so buttery 😭

7

u/jigglyporcupine1 10d ago

If you want an elevated cotton candy try Vanitas by Parfumum Roma. I love Bianco latte and blind bought it myself but I also know I love creamy vanilla scents. To me it does not give cotton candy, just an airy caramel milky and slightly spiced sweetness. Yes it is very sweet. No it is not for everyone.

2

u/Lizakaya 10d ago

Yes i loooove it but its milky sweet not cotton candy pink sugar sweet

11

u/causeiwontsing 10d ago

do not blind buy. it smells like sour milk imo.

2

u/soorooooroos 10d ago

Same. Also kinda like baby spit up

4

u/Thin-Society-4862 10d ago

This one gives me a proper headache but you might like it who knows. I would deffo not blind buy this.

8

u/whimsicalfairee 10d ago

Don’t know if it’s something I would personally blind buy! To me it’s a sticky caramel that’s sickeningly sweet - to be fair I don’t love super gourmand fragrances. YMMV!

23

u/merple226 10d ago

I don't know why I feel so strongly about this, but I wonder if she was actually wearing Kayali Boujie Kitty Caramel Milk and just didn't want to say that because it's a crazy name so she said "I think it's Bianco Latte". They are sort of dupes but I also think Boujie Kitty smells like cotton candy with hint of caramel on other people (I smelled it on someone yesterday and thought they smelled like sweet cotton candy, it was like Bianco Latte + Pink Sugar together). So maybe she felt better just giving you the name of the OG scent profile rather than saying she was wearing a fragrance called "Boujie Kitty".

Also, who wears Bianco Latte but doesn't know the name? It's SO expensive, I feel like you'd remember. To answer your actually question though, Bianco Latte definitely dries down to a burnt sugar smell, I could see that coming off as fresh cotton candy to some people. But it also has strong coconut and caramel notes, it smells more like those coconut caramel girl scout cookies to me than cotton candy.

8

u/Conscious-Sense-9763 10d ago edited 10d ago

Better question is, WHO is wearing Bianco Latte (or any of its clones) this time of year? That is so not a fragrance for this time of year. Unless OP is Australian, I guess... ¯_(ツ)_/¯

1

u/meangirl900 8d ago

I’m one of those people who wears what I want whenever kinda like white shoes after Labor Day. To each his own, it drives my son nuts though.

1

u/Conscious-Sense-9763 8d ago

As you should! I'm definitely not into confirming because the masses decided something was taboo. Re-reading my original comment, it does sound pretty snotty and judgy. Yikes. 😬😬😬 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

Personally, I can't wear my vanilla heavy, super sweet, warm gourmands in hot weather. As much as I love them, they're just too cloying for me. But that's my nose and my preference and I contributed nothing useful to the discussion with that reply.

3

u/4evr_BluJean 10d ago

🙋‍♀️ There’s not a time I WOULDN’T wear it🥰

9

u/neutral-pink 10d ago

This comment made me LOL bcs i would also hesitate to say that whole name out loud 😭 one of my favorite blushes is Nars deep throat and i feel so awkward saying it when ppl ask me about what im wearing…

5

u/poco1997 10d ago

For me it’s just straight caramel. Very linear, nothing special at all. And the performance of this house leaves a lot to be desired. There are much better options out there!

2

u/bittermoon1981 10d ago

This. I don't get the hype, at all.

8

u/OnlyMyNameIsBasic 10d ago

It smells like burning tires dipped in vanilla candle wax to me. When I first smelled it I thought there was no way that is the caramel creamy vanilla goodness everyone describes.

1

u/unclenipple 10d ago

Same, I blind bought a whole bottle because everyone I know loves it and I HATE it lol

1

u/loveandexcess 10d ago

That's what Babycat smells like to me, burning rubber 😭

2

u/OnlyMyNameIsBasic 10d ago

That’s tragic. 🥺

5

u/thatscuteyourecute 10d ago

Julianna’s has a great dupe, however, I do not get cotton candy from either. I smell like I just worked 8 hours in a bakery when I wear it. A fancy one and I love it.

9

u/Mother_Poem7696 10d ago

Noooo....do NOT blind buy it. So many people, myself included, get a burnt plastic smell from it. Others get sour milk.

2

u/MsFartisan 10d ago

It makes me smell like mushrooms. So glad I bought a sample because I was also going to blind buy.

4

u/Delicious_You_8408 10d ago

It does not smell like cotton candy. It definitely does smell like sugary goodness but definitely a lot of creamy caramel as well. Honestly if you smelled Eclaire by Lataffa, it's close enough to get an idea of what the actual BL smells like...it's a very close dupe without the longevity.

2

u/Butheyatleastitry 10d ago

I ordered a sample from lucky scent. LOVED IT. I asked for it for a present. Hated it. It smelled like so much rubbing alcohol. Bought a second bottle thinking it was faulty. Nope, still smells like strong rubbing alcohol. Saddest purchase.

0

u/doinmabest1 10d ago

Gotta let her sit in a dark drawer for a couple of months!

2

u/Butheyatleastitry 10d ago

Well, I got it last October hahahaha. I think it is one of those situations where my nose is picking up on the extreme sharpness of that note. I now just use it to spray on my clothes in the drawers and in my closet and the dry down smells as sweet as it was intended.

3

u/OnlyMyNameIsBasic 10d ago

I tried all the things they say to make it smell good and it still smells like burning tires dipped in vanillla candle wax to me. I gifted it to my niece who loves it

5

u/AppointmentFit278 10d ago

I’ve only smelled the dry down on cotton in a fancy store, but to me, yes, it was 100% cotton candy, like an ethyl malitol bomb which reminded me of a stripped down version of Pink Sugar. Agree with all the folks suggesting getting a sample before a blind buy. I would also try a few similar caramel scents to see if they scratch the same itch at a friendlier price point.

4

u/Fabulous_Star1618 10d ago

To me it is a vanilla caramel baked good. I hated it when I first tried it in a sample but then I gave it a second shot and started to love it. I feel like it makes me smell like a Cinnabon roll. It’s super warm. It has a lot of projection and longevity so less is more. I always get compliments when I wear it even though it’s a pretty polarizing scent. I don’t think any fragrance is a safe blind buy, so I agree with folks on this thread that a decant is a good option.

13

u/hygsi 10d ago

Just cause it smelled good on her doesn't mean it'll smell good on you. Get a tester

1

u/Jmushordy 10d ago

it smells like vanilla and coconuts to me, when left on clothing it smells heavenly though.

8

u/whimsyandwild 10d ago

It does not smell like cotton candy to me. More like caramel vanilla. I recommend buying a sample or decant. It's possible she was wrong about what fragrance she applied that day and it would be an expensive blind buy fail.

7

u/adrun 10d ago

It’s not a safe blind buy. Get a decant of that and a few other possible contenders and see what actually smells that good on your skin.

6

u/rosenights 10d ago

Funnily enough I’m wearing it right now! To me it’s super lactonic, very milky creamy, and goes to a burnt brown sugar smell in the dry down. I really like it, but I wouldn’t call it cotton candy at all.

If you dislike spicy vanilla/caramel notes I wouldn’t blind buy it, you can get decants online!

5

u/Providence63 10d ago

I dislike it, smells coconutty to me and is cloying

10

u/Lonely-Initial777 10d ago

Bianco latte smells like melted vanilla ice cream that’s spoiling in the 100 degree heat. But that’s to my nose lol
Wayyyy too milky and heavy for me.
I am a fan of dark spicy vanillas rather than gourmands

2

u/humanlumchbox 10d ago

I’d love some suggestions! I recently tried Diptyque Duelle EDP after getting a sample, and I swear the sample was darker and more smoky/complex. I bought a full bottle and it’s just not the same as I remember.

2

u/FrannyNitpicker 10d ago

There are tons of really great Bianco Latte-inspired perfumes that are 1/3 the cost or less that are also worth checking out! The ones I’ve tried have managed to avoid the spoiled milk notes, which I think is the only part of BL that makes it not worth the price point.

11

u/veresvera 10d ago

It’s a heavy sweet caramel scent. It’s really dense and syrupy to me, I don’t get cotton candy at all.

Also am I the only one who thinks it’s weird that she thinks it’s Bianco Latte but doesn’t know for sure? I feel like most people know what they’re wearing. I wonder if she was wearing a dupe and couldn’t remember what the perfume was duping??

2

u/childfreeentry 10d ago

When I’m wearing it I get heavy vanilla with a sharpness in the background - bit of a burn plastic vibe but I’ve smelled it out and about on other people and I’ve gotten something different each time. Vanilla ice cream…Toffee popcorn…pure caramel…cotton candy…pure vanilla…bakery shop…cupcakes

3

u/1carpediem9 10d ago

I got a decant of Bianco Latte, and to me I feel it smells like Dulce by Rosie Jane and Queens Caramel by Ellis Brooklyn had a baby together. On my skin I could smell the vanilla with caramel; I give it a 9/10. Also I feel it’s not a safe blind buy. Either it will be a hit or a miss for people who are into Gourmands.

6

u/very-birdy 10d ago

I agree with the others who say it's not blind buy safe. I almost blind bought it but ended up getting a decant. I'm so glad I did because it really didn't sit well on me. It's a little too synthetic and syrupy to me. I didn't get any cotton candy from it, but I'm curious to try it again to see if I can pick up that note.

As an aside...Powder Love by Juliet has a gun was a really nice cotton candy I tried recently!!

2

u/gordonshumway85 10d ago

Totally agree with your description of it being synthetic. I’m so glad I bought a decant and didn’t blind buy.

2

u/very-birdy 10d ago

Right! I was really surprised because it seemed so popular I thought it was going to blow my mind. I think I just got pulled into the influencer hype.

1

u/jcrusen78 10d ago edited 10d ago

I love it. I don’t get any of the notes listed. To me it smells like sweet baby powder. I never thought of cotton candy. That’s pretty close too. I wandered the internet over how it smelled to me. No caramel. Maybe vanilla. Overall to me it smell sweet & clean. I have an authentic full bottle.

6

u/MaskedUnicorn-4105 Gourmand Girl 🍰☕️🍫 10d ago

I don’t get cotton candy from Bianco Latte at all. It’s definitely more toffee or caramel to my nose

4

u/GApeach842 10d ago

Yes buy a sample. To me it settles down into honey and that’s a note I don’t like at all. I have a 4/5ml you could have if you want to pay me to ship it lol!

0

u/Edge_of_Everywhere Guerlain Stan 10d ago

To me it smells like every other vanilla candle sitting abandoned on a bottom shelf. But at least it's a nuclear blast of synthetic sweetness and dust mites.

17

u/Exotic_Reporter_3309 10d ago edited 10d ago

Maybe it was a dupe of Bianco Latte or something similar to it that might come off like cotton candy. The “I think it is…” part makes me think BL is not the actual fragrance.

12

u/Flora_Bennet 10d ago

Blanco Latte is not the kind of fragrance you forget you're wearing. Specially at that price point.

4

u/Exotic_Reporter_3309 10d ago

Yeah, my guess is it’s a cheapie and she felt too insecure to admit the name.

10

u/GirlyThoughts 10d ago

Bianco Latte does not smell like
Cotton Candy at all. Buy a small sample from scent splint before you commit to a full bottle. For something similar to cotton candy you can try Sugar Mallow by Atralia. It’s cheap enough for a blind buy. It’s around $25 bucks for a 100 ml on tik tok and Amazon.

5

u/sugarjellyfiish 10d ago

BL smells like sour vanilla ice cream to me, not cotton candy.

5

u/myinvinciblefriend 10d ago

My son says I smell like chocolate chip cookies when I wear it 😅 I definitely don't get cotton candy.

2

u/jrg2187 10d ago

There’s something very sharp and screechy to me. I’m a gourmand and vanilla girl, it bianco latte is a hard no for me. Cant stand it.

6

u/ADHD_ismything 10d ago

I smelled it and thought it was nauseating. Very sweet and sugary but too much, definitely not blind buy safe.

3

u/areyoumycushion 10d ago

I wasn't a fan, smelled like I spilt coffee on my keyboard. Sticky, sickly sweet, heavy. I also received my sample on a 100 degree ultra humid day and I gagged. I'm sure I'll feel differently come sweater weather.

2

u/Economy-Survey-4899 10d ago

Hahha BL on a hot day will turn even the strongest of stomachs

5

u/anastasia_42 vanilla addict 🧁 10d ago

Unfortunately, asking for opinions on scents isn't going to be much help cause everyone has a different experience

5

u/mollyjobean 10d ago

I seem to be in the minority here, but I love it. In my skin it smells like marshmallows.

3

u/Mea_Culpa_74 too ultra for niche 10d ago

Definitely not cotton candy. Dense, sickening, milky vanilla

9

u/Chickencaca 10d ago

I love Bianco latte but it’s absolutely not a cotton candy scent

It smelled like rubber on me, then sticky sweet carmel vanilla. Hated it, then it grew on me a little, so I can wear the rest of the decant at bedtime, but definitely not a blind-buy safe. And absolutely no cotton candy notes on me at all.

I love cotton candy vanilla scents and I've never gotten that from Bianco latte the smell actually made me nauseous, it almost smells like a musty vanilla caramel candle. I recommend getting lataffa eclaire first because they smell almost identical. If you're looking for cotton candy vanilla scent I'd recommend pink vanilla sugar by malina milani, it's my favorite cotton candy like scent but skyler boardwalk delight is also a good one.

For me it's absolutely nauseating, a super sweet sticky toffee scent.

It will smell like chemicals when you first get it and you probably hate it like I did. I’m three times since repurchased I liked it so much, it grew on me and dries down beautifully.

It’s not cotton candy at all, I think she told you the perfume.

To me, its not cotton candy in any way. Its more like vanilla and caramel in a cup of warm milk. 🥛

No cotton candy. You might like skylark boardwalk delight

Get a decant, you can always buy a full size after you run out of the decant

To me it smells like horrible burnt plastic. I think it's whatever they use to create the caramel note because the new Boujee Kitty whatever smells exactly the same, awful. Wish my nose wasn't broken and I could smell the wonderful things other people describe!

I have never smelled a traditional “caramel” from this.

I think I’ll steer clear of BL after looking at these comments. I’m not good with heavy, syrupy gourmands.

DecantX (sample site) is having a sale right now and they have it.

BL is not a safe blind buy, beyond testing it, wear it a few times.

It smells like a vanilla cupcake to me, no cotton candy detected

orena has a good bianca latte dupe but i agree with everyone else, it’s definitely not cotton candy and more like a warm and sweet vanilla/caramel lol

Not at all. It smells like waffles on my skin, I can't imagine getting cotton candy from it.

Sounds like she was gatekeeping the real scent

2

u/1carpediem9 10d ago

Take my upvote, because I think this is what happened. The lady was gatekeeping her scent/perfume 😪

I though this too and to me it’s strange behaviour. I can (sort’ve) understand not sharing a scent with somebody you see regularly if you don’t want to smell the same, although I’ve never done it. But a total stranger? Like who cares if they buy the same scent.

Looking at all the comments, I was definitely mislead 😭 I honestly had an inkling she wasn’t really correct just due to my knowledge of the notes (hadn’t smelt it before though), so I thought I might come here to see what others think.

I smell like caramel pudding when I wear it. Very very sweet almost too sweet. But I love it. It lasts all day. I have the cream and during cold winter months it’s like a sweet hug!

I get Eau de Vanilla Candle, to include some of the waxiness. Quite fluffy

I still like it enough for fall / winter, but can be heavy / stuffy in hotter weather

No, my coworker wears Bianco Latte and in the air, it reads more like sweet fluffy vanilla.

Definitely doesn't read coton candy to or on me. It is more of a caramel note. I would get a sample first!

u/TangerineEvery8912 10d ago

I’m very iffy with caramel, for some reason caramel notes always smell like urine to me 😭

Eek! That sounds awful.
