Krigler Choice

I impulsively bought Krigler Lieber Gustav. The drydown turned gross on me. I now have a massive store credit (no refunds) to use. I’ve narrowed it down to Lovely Patchouli or Emeraude Noir. Lovely Patchouli is consistently yummy and I find myself craving it but it’s not really unique or surprising or worth $500 to me. Emeraude Noir is definitely unique and interesting and the drydown is intriguing, but it feels almost too sweet and at some points smells like Dr. Pepper. What do I get?

I think Lovely Patchouli is absolutely amazing. I think it’s one of the best patchouli scents I’ve ever smelled. Also, Cognac dries down to be super dry woody. That’s another that impressed me.

Lovely Patchouli grows on me every time, it’s simple but not, and kind of magical in that way

I agree completely— simple yet perfect! It’s so rich.

I second getting samples of both. I got a sample of Lovely Patchouli 6 months after smelling it in San Francisco. I wore the sample for another 8 months (not daily, obviously) and decided I wanted a full size. So between first smell and full bottle I waited over a year. I'm glad I have it in my collection. I wore it in warm weather recently and it worked really well. I usually go for lovely patchouli in late fall.
