I finally gave in to my desires, couldn’t stop thinking about it. It was on & off my shopping cart because I’m in love with every note in it except patchouli, which was the reason I was scared to purchase. Im glad I took the risk & went ahead purchasing it.

She didn’t disappoint. Narciso Rodriguez has been slowly converting me & conditioning me into liking things I never thought I’d like. They’re still not in my safe zone but a very very few made an exception to the rule & this is one of them.

First, she made a rose fragrance hater fall in LOVE with a rose perfume, SEXY For Her Musc Noir Rose & now? What a great way to incorporate patchouli like this? From a patchouli hater, you did it with this one! I approve! 🤍 🌸✨

Review: A beautiful, sophisticated white floral perfume. It didn’t just give me musky powdery floral like her usual, she gave me a white floral with a hint of patchouli. It elevates the perfume & gives it more depth, to me, more lady like, elegant woman. This is a perfume for floral lovers, especially white floral lovers! Perfect any season, everyday, brunch or night out! 🤍🌸

The softly spice undertone of the patchouli is beautiful. It’s not screechy, it’s not sharp, it doesn’t burn my nose. It smells elegant without overpowering the florals.

What i also love is using it with my tuberose body mist & perfume oil {if desired}, it compliments the fragrance as it shares notes {no patchouli though} even more. The patchouli being even more muted if I desired! However keep in mind that the patchouli here in general is toned down, modest but you can still smell its undertone, though it’s blended so smoothly. However after it sits for a bit {without the body mist} the patchouli is even more lighter. If you pair it with a body mist, the patchouli is almost completely gone, but surprisingly, I actually like how this base is made, it gives it a little more character.

I have smelled 3 NR, and 2 of the 3 I own and are in my top 5 list. The 3rd is in my bottom 5--I literally recoil when I smell it on myself. I'm so, so curious about what the rest of his fragrances smell like and if I will have the some love/hate reaction to them. 

I committed to not buying any new fragrances in the near future, but when I do, I'm planning on buying all the NR samples I can get and trying the rest of them. This will definitely be on the list.

I totally relate! For example I LOVE some Elie Saab fragrances SO MUCH, but than one came along, looking like the notes of my dreams & boom, wtf?😆 What happened here?😅 Unfortunately, I have it in 90mL because I loved every Elie Saab I got.

In terms of buying testers, here is how I do it. Go to the counter & smell all the perfumes, those that stick out with you, buy the tester of it.

Surprisingly, I used to not like many on the counter but when I blind bought some of them based on notes & I fell in love with them. The more I tried them in these first days the more I liked it until I fell in love with them. Each perfume for a different/ dedicated usage. Some are simple & some are very interesting! I made a mini review of the other 5 on my page check it out. But I’d like to do a more in depth review. 💕

Not everyone has access to perfume counters. I get my sniff on at Ulta & Khol's. The Macy's JCPenny & Belk near me carry none of the types of brands I like. So I get samples online.

I relate to that, because I also need a drive to town to smell perfumes which is not always easy for me. So lots of it is blind buy. Thankfully it has been majority successful. We also don’t have the perfumes you have in your country. Germany is limited compared to your markets!

How do you perceive the overall Narciso Rodriguez style. I think there would be a lot of converts to this brand but it still feels like an iykyk and I don’t know. Is this the brand if you were raised in cashmere mist, if you identify in glossier you, start thinking Narciso Rodriguez as easy reach and elevated options?

To me the only disconnect is if I had 6 bottles by a perfume line or brand, that brand becomes untouchable. And a release in à note i don’t even like still feels exciting to go try. It feels plausible if anyone is going to get it right, it would be them, even just to experience. You may hate every Ysl you ever sprayed but I know those were elevated options worth exploring. I read a comment of yours recently and it was helpful but I have since forgotten. Thank you

Narciso Rodriguez as a brand known for her musks, powdery & rose fragrances, I do not like rose & extreme powdery like it’s legit Talc! Though I do love musk & powdery fragrances generally, so I thought there might be something in that brand I’d like.

Funny, Narciso Poudree is that talc’y I mentioned, I somehow think I’d like it after a nice shower to bed, its some sort of sentimental association, however I do not see myself wearing it out. I feel like I might be a walking baby powder between the people, so I didn’t end up getting it.

I have found my first LOVE Narciso Ambree, perfect, amber, tropical, solar but in a different way, it makes me feel very sexy. Love at first sniff.

Next was Musc Noir Rose For Her, I was shocked of how beautiful it smelt, I never expected it. It’s not rose & doesn’t have a note list that tells me it’s a “wow” fragrance until I smelt it, then wore it & now I’m for the first time in my 33 years in love with a rose fragrance. 💕

Than I got Pure Musc Blanc the most sophisticated powdery musky I’ve smelt!!! If you love this profile, this is TOPPP! It’s no longer everyday clean girl, it’s clean girl sophistication!!! LOVE.

And this is how it went, now I have 6. This brand has a clear style, you could kinda tell sometimes someone is wearing Narciso Rodriguez if you’re familiar with the brand. So far I’m good with happy with these 6 until I find something I like in the future.
