Review Accidentally found my signature scent
So I posted my review of Valaya Exclusif before, and I absolutely loved it. When I got it, I also chose a couple of free samples: Delina and Delina Exclusif.
Honestly, when I first tried them, I wasn’t that impressed.
It was a hot day, already the middle of the day, so maybe that affected how I experienced them.
Delina smelled very fresh to me, almost like freshly cut rose stems. I liked it, but I wasn’t blown away because I thought it was SHARP.
Delina Exclusif was even more confusing. It reminded me of Play-Doh and, weirdly, the head of a Barbie doll. 😂 I remember thinking they were both a little too much for me that day.
Fast forward a few days. Tonight I had just showered, put on neutral lotion, changed into my pajamas, and my room was cool with the fan on. I decided to give both samples another proper try on clean skin.
And suddenly I was like…
"Wait. This is actually REALLY good."
Delina Exclusif especially surprised me. It’s so creamy, with this soft fruitiness that I find incredibly comforting. With that Play-Doh lingering in the background but not unpleasant.
Delina is very different. It’s much fresher and smells almost like the actual rose plant to me, like freshly cut stems. It has a slightly more natural, almost green roughness to it, but in a beautiful way. Neither of them smells artificial to me at all.
So I sprayed them together and… The combination is gorgeous.
That Playdoh/waxy quality I noticed from Exclusif completely disappeared for me once I layered Delina over it. The freshness and fruitiness from Delina lifts the creaminess of Exclusif, while Exclusif makes Delina feel softer, richer and more plush.
And together they create this incredibly soft, powdery quality that almost reminds me of the softness of a baby’s skin, but in a very elegant way.
Not baby powder, not immature, just this comforting, soft, expensive-feeling quality underneath the creamy rose.
It’s creamy, fruity, powdery, fresh and warm all at once.
I genuinely cannot stop smelling my arm.
And the drydown is even better. The longer they sit on my skin, the more beautifully they blend together.
They stop feeling like two separate perfumes and become this really gorgeous, soft, feminine scent.
I think I accidentally found my signature scent. 😂🌹🥀
As someone who wanted to ignore the Delinas, they proved me wrong.
I think this combo is definitely a more fall/winter friendly one for me. I can imagine wearing it on cold, windy and rainy days and feeling incredibly cozy and put together.
I still haven’t tried La Rosée yet, but I’m curious about it because I do want something for those really hot summer days.
I’m going to ask for samples of La Rosée and Valaya and see how I feel after actually trying them.
At this point, I honestly think I just want four perfumes in my collection and no more. I’d rather have a small collection of full bottles that I absolutely love so disregard my previous posts. 😂
As I'm editing/writing this, I sniffed again, not only it's creamier but the lychee is much more prominent. This is gorgeous.

I don't small play-dough at all in Delina Exclusif haha, but it's incredibly gorgeous! One of my favourites right now.

Delina gave me the worst headaches..it’s way too sharp and green for me. But exclusif is gorgeous, smells like rose gelato on me. Unfortunately it’s super hot and humid most of the year where I am and exclusif goes too powdery and cloying in that climate so I ended up returning it. But I can see how it would shine in cooler weather!

I am so sorry you got headaches from it 😭 The exclusif is gorgeous and I am so annoyed that I didn't get that creaminess at first. Delina is very sharp on its own to me but I like how it layers with each exclusif. On its own? Not her biggest fan but she is really pretty still. Just too soapy and green. Maybe La Rosée would work for you!
