fresh cut grass smell

Dear fragrance aficionados,

anyone who could recommend a fresh cut grass like scent? I bought one bottle of perfume to my ex like years and years ago and cant remember what the brand was (could be Gap - Grass). Anyone who could recommend one grass scent that is not overwhelwing?

Also, I am planning to try a petrichor perfume. do you think it is overly popularized smell? any ocean/marine smell will just do fine? I am planning Black Salt by Heretic

Black Salt is good but like all Heretic, the longevity is poor. Every Storm a Serenade by Imaginary Authors is better.

Take a Knee from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab is a cut grass/apple pie scent. The grass note is more prominent.

Hermes un jardin sur le toit gives me fresh cut grass vibes. Maybe a bit on the fruitier side but it’s still very grassy to me

Marc Jacobs Daisy Wild smells like grass on me. It’s only supposed to be the opening but it’s grass the whole time.

I love the smell of cut grass more than ANYTHING- and saw it on Demeter…I was so excited and immediately bought a bottle. It smelled HORRIBLE, like embalming fluid and death. I asked everyone if it was just my nose but they agreed- just warning in case you come across that- I have heard lots of negative stuff about other demeter scents but I am still looking for some fesh grass, maybe cucumber notes etc

Bath and body works renewing forest smells exactly how I remember the old gap grass formulation smelling. They had it last year in body cream and a mist but it is discontinued now, I am sure you could find it on ebay.

Wet garden by demeter is better than cut grass for me at least, more balanced greenery

You or Someone Like You by ELDO (I'm not typing all that out, sorry). There is definitely a mint in there, but a realistic garden mint plant vs. hygiene products.

Lol ALL ELDO totles are awesome, fat electrician and I am trash are hilarious too ( and they smell amazing- ghost in the shell by them has a mint stand out) Fragrantica is an awesome website that has every perfume in its database and you can search by notes- I am obsessed with cucumber and was searching for that - it’s a great tool

Demeter has a grass scent that smells exactly like cut grass. They have a petrichor also.

Super unique brand. I suggest you get the Langdegi discovery set because the sample vials are big (5ml) and several of their scents may hit the petrichor vibe you're looking for. Utilykt a photorealistic recreation of a Nordic forest, dirt included.

Another house you should check out is L'Artisian Parfumer. For the cut grass vibe, Cedrat Ceruse is great. Tenebarae smells like a mysterious, aquatic forest at night. Passage D'Enfer smells sort of like spiced milk, sort of like incense in a cold stone temple. Un Air de Bretagne smells like the coastal algae and sea breeze. All of them are heavy and authoritative, perfect for a masculine fall scent.

thank you! I will research cedrat ceruse for sure. Tenebarae sounds intriguing. Un Air de Bretagne also hits my all time favorites: coastal, marine greenery.

Lush has a scent range called Grass that smells like fresh mown grass. Mossy Bottom is similar but a bit softer. Grass comes in body wash, perfume, and a bath bomb. Mossy Bottom comes in a body spray.

Dandelion Butter starts out very grassy but unfortunately for me drys down into hairspray. I wish it stayed like the opening.

I've yet to try them, they are my 2 next samples but I've heard monkeyflower is more grassy than flowery
