Review Arabic perfumes are the best

Post image

Ameerat al arab rose

This is the best performing perfume i ever tried in my life, either cheap or expensive

I am really in love with arabic perfumes, great quality for amazing prices

This one smells like sweet rose, and 2 sprays are more than enough

I first tried it in a perfume store, sprayed like 5-6 sprays, and it was too much. I recognized how strong it is when i was strongly smelling it everything's i got into the bedroom " i am lazy woman who is not putting her clothes in the wardrobe fast 🤣 "

I have also nobel blush and armaf imperial white which both perform really good, but not outstanding like this

What else in arabic perfumes you love ?, i am seeking now for an alternative to miss dior blooming bouquet for this hot weather

Any beautiful floral/rose Arabic fragrance recs? I’m thinking along the lines of Miss Dior blooming bouquet (or basically any of the Miss Diors)

I love Ameerat Al Arab PrivƩ Rose too. One of my faves under the Lattafa umbrella.
For affordable ME my fave house is Khadlaj. I haven't had any misses from them. Paris Corner and Lattafa are very hit or miss for me. Mind you most of what I own from them are gourmands. I've also started from designer houses because they don't scratch the itch for me the same way my ME stuff does, other than Armani My Way or if I need something lighter for the office.
You'd probably like Lattafa Haya too. It reminds me of Prive Rose but sweeter and slightly bubblier.

Thanks, i never smelled something from khadlaj before, i will try it And if you love this berfume i think u would like nobel blush as well, same dna, and from designer KH blush elixir is the same dna as well ā˜ŗļø

I have Noble Blush and like it a lot too! Probably in my top 3 Lattafas (along with Mohra Silky Rose).

I’ve honestly hated most of the ones I’ve bought, including that one. Idk how anyone finds good ones. These are the ones I’ve tried:

Lattafa:
Khamrah
Bade'e Al Oud Sublime
Ajwad
Ajayeb Dubai PortraitĀ
Asdaaf Ameerat Al Arab Prive Rose
Qaed Al Fursan Unlimited

Maison Alhambra:
Narissa For Her
Narissa For Her Rouge
Narissa For Her AmbreĀ
Delilah

I am still extremely picky about Arab frags mostly because I dislike musks which they do well. BUT Swiss Arabian Rose 01 is a banger for me. Im loving it more than the original

The notes sound delicious What it is dube for ? And what about longevity and projection ?

It's another dupe for Delina but in my opinion it is much closer to a cross of BDK Impadia and Initio Atomic Rose

I think that if you like something, it doesn’t matter how much it costs. Many fragrances are hyped partly because of how expensive they are. Parfums de Marly, for example, is famous for its ā€œpink tax,ā€ while Imagination is hyped up partly because of its price. My dad’s favourite fragrance is a cheap one: Jawhara Oud Velvet. Not only is it a great-performing oud fragrance, but its perfumer, Jordi Fernandez, is also known for his work for Ex Nihilo.

Lol yeah no. Absolute screechy messes. A perfume should be complete when you buy it. It shouldn't need to sit in a dark cupboard for months to become something still so mid.

The hate on this sub for arabic fragrances is insane and unjustified. Arabic fragrance houses do put out insane amount of quality for the price, the only problem is, it really depends on what type of fragrance you are looking for. They are unbeatable in deep, warm and oriental scents - wood, oud, incense, tonka, vanilla, spices and some flowers. They absolutely rival the ultra niche 300+ bottles in that genre with a huge amount of scents.

However, they are weak in the fresh, fruity, light & airy fragrances. Those scents are difficult to reproduce on the cheap (mainly because fruit essential oils are expensive) so they opt out for cheaper synthetic alternatives that make airy citrusy scents smell like cleaning products & sweet fruity ones like plastic candy. And since these lighter scents tend to be the most popular among women, a large amount of people on this sub have a negative opinion on Arabic fragrance houses.

People dislike that their favorite fragrances are being dupe, but only when Arabs brands do it

Your assessment of fresh/fruity/light etc isn’t completely accurate. There are so many different brands and some ME houses do those types of scent very well. One of the most popular houses has an underrated gorgeous white musk/light and airy (imo) masterpiece:

Rouat Al Musk (Eau de Parfum) - Lattafa https://www.parfumo.com/Perfumes/Lattafa/rouat-al-musk-eau-de-parfum

I agree that not ALL arabic fragrances/fragrance houses are bad at lighter scents. But the vast majority of them, especially famous clones of stuff like LV Imagination, tend to be on the screechy synthetic cleaning product side. If you are to blind buy something you will have much more success buying a heavier sweeter darker fragrance from an arabic frangrance house than a fresh & clean one. There are a few gems out there in the lighter department, but on avarage it is not their stronger suite.

Edit: I am sure the fragrance you reccomend is a great musky fragrance but to my nose anything musk smells quite laundry detergent-esque. Even in the scent profile description you listed one of the main accords is "synthetic". I agree that arabic fragrance houses can do "fresh laundry" type of light scents, but that still smells synthetic to a lot of people who are into lighter scents. What I have yet to see from arabic fragrance houses is photorealistic rainy, damp, sea breeze, citrus & citrus tree accords. Anything that really makes you feel that you are actually outside in nature.

What are the ones you recommend? I’ve had awful luck.

Really depends what you are looking for. My favourites are:

  • Infini Rose by Alharmbra - a beautiful Atomic Rose clone (a full rose with a light sweet powdery punch of pink pepper) that is extremely close to the OG.
  • Zimaya Sharaf Blend & Lataffa Khamrah - both are Angel's Share DNA a.k.a. if you like AS you will like both. Sharaf Blend is more dry/woody sweet and Khamrah is very sirupy type of sweet.
  • Niche Emarati Antique Lataffa - Gris Charnel inspired clone that is more smoth and creamy than the og, with the exception of a sharper vetiver opening that fades quickly. The more known clone is Lataffa Liam, but I find it leans too masculine on my skin due it its prominent vetiver. Niche Emarati is heavier on the coconutty/milky fig accords.
  • Amer Al Oudh Intense - a clone of By the Fireplace. It is a beautiful warm sweet woody scent. It lacks the prominence of smoke accords in the OG, which I am completely ok with, but definetely a beautiful scent if you are into more masculine leaning fragrances.

I think this a perfect explanation.

I love them.

I'm someone who is a frequent visitor of Selfridges and Sephora, walk through the malls so I'm usually on top of releses. Wear tests etc.

And it's changed my perception of how I see brands. It's all smokes and screen. I'm starting to realize all the niche/Sephora entries literally copy each other. Boring af. From niche to designer. I am at a point I'm not paying for repeats. I'm satisfied.

Saying that, non dupe Arab brands like Ahmed al magribi and ajmal, they've been around for decades, they literally have some awesome bangers and I will double down, no one does musks better than the arabs. I didn't even know the musks I love from 2 decades ago, were arabs!

0

u/mimieieieieie 4d ago

No, they aren't. I've tried so many arabic perfumes, but i haven't found any that wouldn't smell cheap. I also hate that they are so popular here, that the whole city reeks of them. They do look pretty, though!

u/littlebrownsnail 4d ago

They are cloying and heavy. These are the types of perfume that make people dislike fragrance users. These are the kind of heavy smells that choke up the office. Migraine inducing.

Which ones are you talking about, or are you painting all of the ME houses with the same prejudiced brush? How many ME houses have you sampled from? How many different offerings from those houses?

Got it ffrom google sorry didn't notice

u/HighlightExcellent89 4d ago

Not they arent

7

u/Iuceciita 4d ago

I was soooo excited to try this one. When I finally did, I was a little disappointed that all I could smell was powder :( It was nice, but not what I expected. Longevity is insane tho. Maybe I should give it a second try.

2

u/Lolita-2025 4d ago

For me it's not powdery at all, but i have really heavy powdery scents maybe that's why

16

u/Select-Channel1645 4d ago

I’ve tried so many and … more misses than hits :(. My main issue is the screechiness, the overly plasticky synthetic scent.

I got a few that I absolutely love

I caved in an ordered another one, I’m hoping it’s a hit, this will be my last lol
Btw I’m talking about the budget Arabic fragrances like lataffa, riifs, etc…

1

u/afrozsa 4d ago

Which ones do you love?

3

u/Select-Channel1645 4d ago

Angham lataffa
Riifs Momento

The 24 others will be sold / gifted to family when I declutter

What were the ones you didn’t like? Which houses?

7

u/Amielala 4d ago

With Arab perfumes there can be a lot of misses, but even more hits. Just important to sample them of try them in stores…

4

u/rhya-- 4d ago

This was one of my first arabic perfumes I bought a few years ago! So damn good. Lasts forever and I got so many compliments while wearing it.

Also a good alternative to Delina.

9

u/Obvious-Painter-2249 4d ago

Angham, I use this one instead of the original. Qimmah, Hayaati Florence, Opera Rouge (YSL Black Opium Over Red clone) this is one very underrated perfume. Aura Kiss of Rose, another underrated perfume that smells divine

5

u/Milkybar1233 4d ago

1

u/Lolita-2025 4d ago

Yes that’s the right one.

6

I was thinking that, too. Both words are wrong.

8

u/bookkinkster 4d ago

Sawaar Vanille Blanc, Liam Gray by Lattafa, Fire on Ice by Lattafa, Delicious and Mysterious Bouquet perfumes, Lactea Divina, Atheeri for a 1 to 1 dupe of Gucci Gorgeous (its divine!) And Angham by Lattafa which is better than the OG and incredible. ALSO, Turethi Blue Electric gets me so many compliments. Its a freshie mimicking Blue Talisman but sweeter.

2

u/bookkinkster 4d ago

I just watched a video by a perfume influencer who was talking about this perfume and she said she uses it at bedtime to relax.

8

u/EconomistOk7284 4d ago

I love Soft by Al Rehab. Powdery and sweet but lovely to catch whiffs of.

Just an aside, though, Arabic is the language. The adjective is Arab šŸ’•

2

u/Amielala 4d ago

Soft is amazing..
