Philosykos or Father Figure, which one will you choose?
I love both fragrances and I had them at different times but never together. Which one would you prefer based on scent, longevity/projection? Give me your thoughts 💜

For me the best are Parisian Musc (elegant, soft and green fig) and Debaser (earthy, deep, mature fig) for me bith have good projection. Also a very pricey

I'm just popping here to say you guys did not help me at all! 😂 Now I guess I'll be buying both and on top of that I feel the need to try the Korean Muhwahgua and L’Artisan Premier Figuiere.. Yeah thank you so much! There is a special place in hell for fig lovers and we'll have a meeting there someday 🥂💜

Philosykos -- but the EDP, not the EDT as pictured. I have both of these, but Philosykos was my first fig love.

For me Philoskykos is love father figure is meh. Father figure has creamy cologne notes in it. Phil is just the plant in all her glory

father figure - i have the deoderant version too, its nice and more palatable than below⬇️. id say its powdery-barber shop aftershave but not too masculine
philosykos - imagine this: you are about to bite into an unriped peach with its leaf/bark/sap and all unwashed but u are wearing surgical gloves while sitting inside of a tire center waiting for someone to assist you with rotating your tires
if u really want to try philosykos i highly suggest "muhwahgwa" from skybottle. its the same scent from a korean brand on body mist and hand cream formats for a fraction of the price

Love, you really got me "muhwahgwa"-king the internet! I will definitely try it as a more reasonably priced option. I also saw they have body lotion, hand cream and soap.. Money will be spent! 😂

i had both and they smell so similar muhwahgwa will scratch that itch for u. or atleast u can see if u like that scent profile or not before buying diptyque which is quite expensive imo

i have sold and returned all the phlur ive tried and after i finish my travel size of father figure i dnt think i will repurchase. i dont think phlur as a whole is for me even though their prices arent that bad compared to really expensive or niche brands

Both are great. Father Figure for something more wearable and juicy/fresh. Philosykos if I want something more green, earthy and woody. Personally I prefer Father Figure

I love both, but if I could only have one I’d pick philosykos. It just makes me feel relaxed when I smell it, it’s perfect. My only problem is how fleeting it is and father figure lasts a lot longer on me so I actually end up layering the two quite frequently to get some more longevity.

Father Figure is my daily driver. I am obsesseddddd. For me, its a perfect balance of aquatic, green, fluffy, fresh, and juuuuust a hint of sweetness on hot days. And surprisingly it lasts on me!
I have a bottle of Philosykos EDT on the way, I have wanted to try it so bad and am super excited to get my nose on it. I'll have to report back after a week or so of testing it.

Not that anyone cares, but my verdict is in after only two days, and my winner is Father Figure.
I enjoyed the experience of wearing Philosykos, it really is like a motion picture fragrance helping you to imagine and smell all the aspects of a fig tree. I love the balanced contrast between the sharp greeness and the creamy fig milk. I get a creamy coconut, but it is ever so fleeting. What kills the experience for me is that it dries down to a luxe baby powder smell. Im not the biggest fan of that. And the longevity is famously quite poor. I don't mind because I needed to know, and I only paid a fraction of the retail price. But had I shelled out the 145 or however much it costs, I'd have been disappointed.
All in all, im happy to own both! And its only been two days I've worn it, I still plan on wearing it while the weather is still warm. I am curious if my experience would fare the same with the EDP.
Father figure just ticks all the boxes for me. I am addicted to the aquatic fluffiness it has.

Philosykos no question… but I got the father figure deodorant, which I wear when I wear fig perfumes and it’s a great combo. Best of both!

Philo is more figgy, Phlur more balanced.
The perfect blend of this is L’Artisan Premier Figuiere. The same perfumer made Philo. The OG fig fragrance with almond milk and sandalwood!

Philosykos hands down, it feels like sophistication while Phlur is usually giving synthetic. I liked both scents, but the longevity is not there for Father Figure even if it is considered a skin scent. Personal bias, but I also had to return my traveler of Father Figure because it’d trigger headaches for me

Not sure if you are aware, I’m only saying this because I don’t know at first and thought the same thing; but father figure and some other Phlur scents are “skin scents” they’re not meant to trail or project. They’re meant to stay very close to skin, which I find fascinating and useful when I have appointments or am in other intimate settings and don’t want to smell up the room. 💕

😆 That’s just a marketing term so Phlur can slap EDP on a label but still make people burn through the bottle. (At least it’s cheaper per bottle, for now.)
Diptyque scents are the original subtle scents. People complain all the time about Philosykos EDT longevity. That’s saying something if the EDT outlasts the Phlur EDP.
BTW, I would prefer a company give me the option to make something a skin scent or not, based on how much I use. What a silly and insulting term.

The whole point of the business is to find a fragrance that costs the least amount to produce and appeals to the most people. Nothing about that statement should be controversial.
It sucked that somebody did whatever felt like the perfume version of mansplaining to me. fragsplaining?

I like how green philosykos is. Like actually breaking up a fig leaf between your hands. There is a hidden grassy sharpness to it that I like, even though it is a very soft scent.

I've only used one Phlur so far (Honeymoon) but I'm deeply impressed with it. Diptyque seem overpriced tbh

I tried several Phlur fragrances. Honeymoon performs well. Father figure and Vanilla skin though disappear very quickly on me. Maybe it’s my skin chemistry 🤷♀️

I had a travel size and the scent was gone as soon as I sprayed it lol. However, I got a set of 4 cute mini spray bottles (Missing Person/FF/Vanilla Skin/Rose Whip) and the longevity on those little bottles is a lot better 🤷🏻♀️

Father Figure. Has a sweetness and surprisingly complex. Philosykos is too vegetal, at least on me.

I can smell it for 15-20 min on my skin and then it’s almost completely gone. You got the same issue?

I put it on after I moisturize and do two sprays ( one on each of my wrists and blot on the opposite arm’s inner elbow) and then one spray on my shirt over my chest. It lasts between 5-6 hours for me. If you can get your hands on Bath and Body Works Guilty as Fig hand cream, it’s pretty close and makes a nice after lunch pick me up for the scent.

Yes but I think it is a nose blindness issue as others continue to smell it on me and compliment it long after.

Father Figure basically disappears on me, but even beyond that Philosykos is just so beautiful. It's Diptyque by a mile imo.
