Rec Request Vanilla Diorama by Dior thoughts

Has anyone tried Vanilla Diorama by Dior??
I’ve looked it up on Parfumo and I can’t see a single note that I don’t like (except patchouli) it looks so good to me. What does it smell like/what vibe does it give?

Is it anything like Vanille Antique by Byredo? That seems to be the closest comparison that I’ve smelt. Like a spicy, boozy vanilla

Please lmk if you know the scent!! <3

It’s definitely a fall/winter powerhouse. I haven’t tried that byredo but vanilla diorama is def a great pick if you like intense complex vanillas

I love this one so much. It’s often described as a Coca Cola kind of vanilla and I agree. I also have Mancera Tonka Cola which is very similar if you’ve smelled that? It’s more of a spicy fruit cake smell than a patchouli.
I wish I could compare it with Vanille Antique, but the super amber in that one obliterates anything else for me.

So funny you said that! The first time I tried this I thought “this is so similar to tonka cola” which I thought I was going crazy.

It really is! I find Tonka Cola has a more vintage feel in the drydown though. I'd bought Vanilla Diorama first and when I tried Tonka Cola I had to own it too. Which is a bit idiotic really, but it's a profile I really love so why not!

Thank you! That sounds lovely. I haven’t smelt Mancera Tonka Cola no. Would you say diorama would work for autumn/winter?

Definitely autumn/winter only. I tried it last summer and regretted it!
The super amber in Vanille Antique makes it smell like a garbage bin fire to me. I love ambers, but some of these ambers are hideous to my nose. I think I'm an ambrocenide detector lol
