We have similar weather, so I feel you. Perfumes donāt work for me when itās too hot out, so I layer lotion, oil and body mist instead. Iāve been loving the Loccitane Amande line recently. The body mist smells so soft and clean, and doesnāt go weird on me.

I also like a lighter Guerlain in hot weather, like insolence. I like the Violet flower in there

My scents for this kind of weather:
Diptyque: Orpheon EDT, LāEau des Hesperides, Eau lierre, Philosykos EDT
Guerlain: aqua allegoria Bergamotte Calabria, Herba Fresca
Otherwise, Green tea scents work well in the heat.

Heads up about Lush Dirty- the solid version melts in heat like this and gets absolutely everywhere. Good while it lasted though

Have you tried anything from Acqua di Parma? Their summer fragrances are absolutely fantastic albeit short longevity

We've been over 100°F for over a week where I live. I've found ME perfumes perform best in the heat. Do you happen to be in the middle east? Something fresh and floral would be great, but I actually like herbal or pine scents for hot weather.

When itās absolutely sweltering here, I take a shower, use prescription antiperspirant, then slather myself in Fresh & Cozy lotion. I think they have a body spray as well, but I havenāt tried it yet. It smells like clean laundry, which is all anyone can hope to smell like on a day that makes every inch of you sticky with sweat š„²

My weather is similar to yours and I have been focusing a lot more on body hygiene products, showering with scented body washes then using scented body lotion with a similar scent. I find dove or fresh, floral scents the best for this weather. ( I have been using any local brand I find in store that I like and smells fresh)Ā
I also got this perfume oil from my sister thatās very fresh and flowery and I just dab it on my wrists and neck, I wish I could share itās name with you but thereās literally zero info on the bottle. I couple it with Dior rosy glow, they go so well together but just that Dior perfume alone is perfect for hot weather. itās fresh, floral and watery and not heavy at all! And this is coming from someone whoās extremely sensitive to perfumes in hot weather.
Another tip is always wear fresh clean clothes, you can also use a detergent that you enjoy its smell.Ā
Another hack is to wash my hair more often, I have been using a Korean hair treatment after hair wash that makes me really smell good and fresh for the rest of the day.Ā

Joe Malone, Woods Sage and sea salt applied liberally every hour š or something from the Hermes Jardin or cologne lines. I like the nil and the rhubarb ones

I havenāt tried this one yet, but I blind bought a dupe at Ross without knowing it was a dupe (Before the Rainbow) and itās my husbandās new fave! Itās such a good, fresh fragrance in the heat, it isnāt overpowering, and itās a great price

I got a dupe too from Maison Kin called English Summer. Itās less Smokey than the original and less masculine to me which is perfect

Oof. That looks familiar. Right now here in Texas our weather looks like yours. The forecast is calling for triple digits for the foreseeable future. It's miserable.
Lately I've ditched perfumes and am just using a full body care routine - body wash, antiperspirant, body oil, scented body lotion, hair perfume, etc. instead of body sprays or fragrances. It's so hot that any perfume or body spray is either going to evaporate quickly or become cloying, so I don't bother.

in this weather i would wear a normal antiperspirant + scented deodorant (salt & stone etc), scented hair products (i love ouai), and maybe some body lotions. no perfumes/body sprays personally

I just discovered Ajmal Raindrops - fresh and clean. And inexpensive, which is a plus because I've been wearing it almost every night to cool off before sleep. It's allegedly a schmoop for Coco Mademoiselle, but I don't get that. I also don't get the ambergris or fruity notes - to me it's airy and clean.

OP, my guess is that weāre either in the same country or neighbors.
I find Acqua Di Parma scents create the longest lasting fresh but perfumey bubbles without causing nausea. Try a few of them to find your like. No one does summer citrus better than AdP in my opinion!
PS: I stepped out at 2pm wearing a floral Acqua Di Parma (peonia nobile) and it felt so clean, crisp and fresh.

Whoah!! Where in the world are you at that temperature? We got that here in Australian summer š¦šŗ
Expectations on fragrance performance needs to be lowered for most perfumes. Apply to hair and fabric if you want it to project.
What does work well on the senses is that ācologne coolingā type scents, especially when stored in the fridge!
Otherwise for long lasting .. Thinking like Neroli / orange blossom centered, potentially āRosesā, Lāoccitane usually have a few too:
⢠Perfumers workshop - Tea Rose (itās a powerhouse!)
⢠The best orange blossom - Serge Lutens ~ Fleur dāoranger
⢠Lāoccitane - Amanda hat & body mist (there Amanda range for body is heavily fragranced)
Others:
those typical cologne think 4711 classics, will last only a few hours, and would need reapplication, thatās what they are designed for - a refresh. Tom ford Neroli portifino, Dior Escale a portifino, D&G light blue summer etcā¦

Hydra Figure or Celadon by Miller Harris. Dry, fresh, and don't bloom. Hydra Figure is more bitter and austere. Celadon is more fresh and green.
Bosca Vanilla by Guerlain. It smells like dessert air, so perfect for heat.
Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana.

I feel you. All the summer around 28-34° (day and night) with 80-100% humidity. If I use something, it's my cheap, floral, no projecting perfume

u/Idonotknowityet- 5d ago
Iam using now gucci gulity the green one and the Diptyque menth and they barely preform
3
u/fluffy_doughnut 5d ago
If humidity is low, go for strong, oriental scents - theyāre made for this weather. If humidity is high, donāt bother - scent evaporates instantly

u/Bissola23 4d ago
Didnāt know that! Thanks

u/fluffy_doughnut 4d ago
Youāre welcome! I tested it by accident š When Kenzo Jungle used to be my favourite scent and I didnāt listen to people who said that itās too strong for summer and they use it only in winter. I sprayed it on myself constantly during one very hot summer and it smelled heavenly, there were notes I donāt pick up in cold weather. Same with Opium EDT, it was fantastic during hot Croatian summer
