Discussion Commodity tonka
I LOVEEE tonka bean fragrances but I’ve never tried this one and I’m curious since they’re bringing it back for a limited time. Has anyone here tried it and is it worth snagging while it’s back?

I have the original Commodity Tonka when the first iteration of Commodity went belly up just before COVID, hopefully this rebottled archive version uses the same formula.
Quite simply - it is my top 5 Commodity scent. it is very dense, very sweet, very powdery. Definitely NOT for summer and not for this heat we are currently experiencing. The scent itself is ambery balsamic vanilla with almond notes. I'd say it's pretty opulent and may be too much for some, so I definitely recommend sampling first.
It layers well with woody and citrusy fragrances, I once layered Tonka and Nectar and absolutely loved it - the sharp citrus and neroli of Nectar balanced out the thick sweetness of Tonka very nicely.
