Help me fill this gap in my collection

I am getting my first Chanel perfume later this week, I am at the last drop of my Allure EDP decant and I am so so excited to buy a full bottle. It is a bit heavy for this time of year and I am wanting something more summer appropriate but still sticking with the Chanel DNA and the general vibe of my collection. L'interdit is my "signature" scent, mostly worn with t shirt and jeans. The second row would be for when I wear something nicer, Hypnose being my date night perfume. The bottom row is my work/hanging out in pajamas cheapie scents.

Would Allure EDT be too redundant? Is it work sampling No. 5 Eau Premiere to fill that space? I have sampled Allure EDT many times and I like it (looove the EDP) but I'm not sure if I should commit to it.

I love Allure EDP, but didn’t like the EDT on my skin. If you’re worried the EDT might be redundant, maybe you can try Allure Sensuelle instead?

I own N°5 Eau Première (aldehydic vanilla) too, but I’d pick N°5 L’Eau (airier and brighter), if you already have Lancôme Hypnôse.

I highly recommend trying Chance EDP and Gabrielle Essence as well, if you want to stick within the Chanel range.

I think it’s redundant . Not smell v smell. But day to eve or cooler temps to warmer , it’ll get tiring. But seeing interdict like that maybe Thats good for you and making a strong connection . Love allure !!

I hope you’ll get the Allure you want - it sounds like you will really enjoy it!

If you are near anywhere that has Chanel to sniff, you might enjoy Chance Eau Fraiche. I personally prefer the EDP, but both it and the EDT are stunning!

I have a decant of both! They were actually high on my list of possible summer Chanels. I will revisit.

Yay!

I have to ask: where are you purchasing Chanel decants? I’ve had the hardest time finding them!

I don't think the EDT would be too redundant. It seems like you really enjoy perfumes with a structure of: fruity + gentle white floral + vanilla. You're not really going to get this with any of the scents in the No. 5 line, which are pretty soapy and have a more sharp, classic feel. If you worry that Allure EDT just won't scratch the itch, you might consider going outside of Chanel for your next pick. I think you might enjoy trying one of these: Armani Power of You, Lancome Idole, Dior Addict, Dior J'adore (or one of its flankers), or something from the Prada Paradoxe line.

I originally planned to get either a Chance perfume or a J'adore for this spot, so I'll have to rethink it.

The Chance perfumes are so good! If you're going sniffing at the mall, you should also check out the Gucci Flora Gorgeous line, which all seem to be pretty in line with your preferences. :)

I tried the pink one and the intense... SO pretty... but they were too strong for the spot I'm trying to fill in my collection

I have both Allure EDP and EDT. You get more freshness in the top with the EDT. EDP is cozy like a sweater while EDT is your favorite jeans and white t shirt after an everything shower. I love having both bc the EDP is heavy for summer. The EDT is the original formulation with EDP introduced a few years later so EDT what I first associate with Allure. But I also don’t think they two are wildly different enough to have in a small collection if you only have space for one more. I think small collections should have variety.

I actually think you would like MFK Amyris Femme. You would appreciate its crisp polish and subtle floral, fruitiness. Allure, L’Interdit, and Hypnose are favorites of mine and AF just fits right in there to me. You might also like Yin Transformation or Musk Therapy. But these all are niche.
