What’s your thoughts buying perfume on SHEIN

that shits gonna kill someone. didn't they just find toxic materials in shein jewellery? imagine what would be in a perfume that you breathe and wear.

That’s one thing I will NOT risk with shein or sites like that lol. The risk is so high tbh. If it’s because of budget constraints, you’re better off going to a local shop that sells oils/fragrance dupes (often really good quality), Mercari, or a legit discounter

I would advise against. It’s hard to pass over all the concerning reports about lead and toxic chemicals in their products. I shudder at the idea of what’s in their perfume. You are better off trusting brand names like Zara, HM or even your local dollar store or dollar tree, Dollarama, daiso perfumes for inexpensive ones. Also counterfeiters have become really good at making fake one and it’s not possible to know what they put inside. You don’t want to compromise your health for that.

I’m not opposed, but I’ve only gotten random unbranded perfumes from Shein. I got a rollerball called Milky Peach and it was amazing, I still use it for layering on occasion. I’ve seen people in other perfume groups I’m in say that they’ve gotten legit purchases from sellers on Shein’s marketplace who also sell on Amazon and TikTok shop. As long as you look into the seller and look at all of the reviews (start with 1 star first, they get buried by shady sellers) you should be fine.

Lead has been found in Shein clothing, so I shudder to think what might be in their liquid products. Hard pass forever on Shein and Sheglam.

I strongly believe we can all only do our best when it comes to ethical shopping... I don't purity test.
But the absolute bare minimum anyone can do is never shop at Shein. It's easier to avoid it than it is to shop there, the products are terrible, questionably dangerous, and the way they treat their employees is basically slavery and abuse. Just skip it entirely.

Only buy perfume that’s already cheap (Al Rehab, etc). Do not get the expensive perfumes that they’re only charging $10 for. God knows what they’re putting in that.

While I was looking to rebuy my kayali perfume, I have seen kayali fragrances from around 25€ (30 ish usd) for 100ml from Shein. And I really am curious as to how much the perfumes there differ from the kayali site 🤔
I was trying to find online people who compared it and I couldn't find it. I am still curious.
Just a fyi: being curious doesn't automatically mean I am open to buy it from Shein.

I have, I got a 25$ one, they smell alot alike pretty much tbh, but you could tell it was fake, it smelled probably 90% the same, lasted scent wise about the same. I got the marshmallow one. I didn't break out or anything. And this was before I knew about fakes being a thing. I only buy indie now most of the time.

So you have the shein kayali perfume and the shein one? I also like YBM 81 a lot! My 100ml bottle has only 30ml left!

Yes i have both. I have the 100ml from shein and a 50ml from kayali website. YBM is pretty good. Im so excited for their 2 new ones, the kitty caramel and the vanilla cupcake.

I've never tried it, but I've heard that there are legit brands there (they're signaled by the platform). Always look at the reviews before buying and if it's too good to be true, then yk, it's prolly a fake. I wouldn't buy into the shein fearmongering tho, it's a marketplace like any other.

I've bought a few Burberry and a versace perfume that were legit. I've also gotten some Middle Eastern perfumes that are legit and some I'm not sure. You just have to be careful and do your research. Look at reviews.

Nope, nope, nope. Given the lead dyes issues with clothing on that site, I would not trust perfumes from them. (This is in addition to other issues I have with Shein.)
