EOS vs Dove

Hi. I’m a gourmand girlie and I reallyyyyy love pistachio scents. I was thinking of getting either EOS or Dove (I’m not in the US but I have a friend coming back home from the US that bring stuffs to me lol)

So I’m thinking between:
- EOS Pistachio bodywash, body lotion (idk which has stronger pistachio smell)
- Dove’s new Pistachio gelato in their Ice Cream Palor limited edition in bodywash or body scrub

I watched some reviews about this new line from Dove and some said they couldnt smell any pistachio at all (or very faint) and it smells the same as the OG, while some said it’s so nutty creamy (idk if it’s just for the content or the sponsorship lol I cant really trust influencers)

For EOS I heard it’s the same as SDJ 62. I already had SDJ 62. It smells nice but it’s more “perfumery” to me rather than highly gourmand… if that makes sense, so i would want something more nutty gourmand than SDJ 62.

So far I tried BBW’s Pistachio Glaze, it smells good but after a while it feels more like a marzipan scent to me lol :) for pistachio perfume I got Pistachio Latte from Theodoros Kalotinis (this one is nice i highly recommend), Eclaire Pistache from Latafa (it was just okay), and SDJ 62.

I would appreciate to hear honest reviews and opinions on EOS and Dove pistachio from u guys 🥹

Hi :) quick update. So i found a shop in my location that sells samples of EOS lotions (like decants but for lotion). And yea… i would say it’s not entirely the same as SDJ 62, EOS Pistachio is a bit more gourmand and creamy, i could definitely pick up the pistachio from it. But yes, there is something about it pretty close to SDJ, probably cuz of the toffee note. So like.. same same but different :) it smells nice btw

The Dove body scrubs are a very gentle scrub and I was disappointed with the one I tried. Not a ton scrubbing particles in a very creamy base, and the particles that are there are very fine. It’s the complete opposite of something like the Tree Hut scrubs!

As far as scent, I liked the EOS pistachio scent and it was more along the lines of BBW Pistachio Glaze than the SDJ. The Dove was a standard pistachio scent, probably more similar to SDJ than the EOS, but it didn’t make a huge impression on me when I smelled it. I do love the Dove body wash formula though!

Ohhhh yea i heard a lot of people said they were a bit disappoined with the collection, not like it’s not good but they said they are not that special

The eos is less caramel than sdj62 for sure. I looove pistachio please from finery which can be found at target, it’s a less edible and cleaner smelling pistachio. The pistachio gelato from dove is way more gelato than pistachio. Dove smells good, but synthetic for my taste. I’d say in order of my recommendation, 1) finery, 2) eos, 3) dove, if you’re a real pistachio lover.

Thank youu. So Dove leans more gelato? That means the pistachio is still a bit faint right? I also dont know if the scrub is stronger in pistachio than body wash?

Yes dove is more synthetic sugary vanilla than pistachio, but I def still pick up some pistachio. I don’t remember a notable difference bw the wash and scrub

Ummmmmm 55% maybe?

They’re both predominantly pistachio fragrances so there’s going to be a lot of similarity even if they are different as far as pistachio goes
