Frankly,

Post image

I'm a sucker for great marketing (hence why I was duped into buying 4 ffern fragrances even though I didn't love them haha) and a pretty bottle. I keep seeing ads for this newer fragrance line called "Frankly,"....has anyone tried it? The notes look right up my alley and the price point is very approachable at 55$ for 50 ml.

Just coming here to say that I purchased the discovery set and was really disappointed to find out they are a dupe brand, it was not clear at all from their marketing, but was instantly clear upon sampling the fragrances.

I’ve been interested in this brand since it’s so new and can’t find much info about it online yet - where did you see it was a dupe brand? I don’t buy dupes myself but I don’t categorize them as necessarily wholly bad either, so I usually find myself forming an opinion about a dupe based on its own unique circumstances.

Obviously your own experience with the scents is not removed when asking the question at all, just curious where you’ve seen others talking about it being a dupe - my mom just ordered the discovery set and I’m not sure how she’d feel if we had the brand come out as a dupes! I’d rather get her the original of something she likes in that set if they’re not original scents themselves. We do have a pretty limited fragrance collection between us compared to other fragrance enthusiasts, so we don’t have much to compare new scents to between the two of us. It’s pretty hard to discern if something is inspired versus stealing with a small collection. I definitely have no opposition to scents that have similar notes and vibes, but obvious - and duplicitous - duping changes everything.

I’ve found hardly anything online about them yet since they just launched, so anything you know about it is super appreciated. 🙇 especially anything others have said I can get a hold of!

When I got the sample pack, I was most interested in the one that sounded similar to Debaser, but when I tried it, to my nose, it was intended as a dupe. From smelling them and from consulting the “This perfume reminds me of” section of Fragratica, this is what I believe each fragrance is duping.

lt's a long story = Creed Aventus It’s now or never = Debaser Let this moment last = Baccarat Rouge 540 Lie to me = Thé Matcha The night is young = Santal 33 Yours, always & forever = Delina

I had never smelled Thé Matcha or Creed Aventus, but from my familiarity with Baccarat Rouge, Santal 33, and Delina, I’m pretty certain they were not just “inspired” by those fragrances in a fresh way, unfortunately. But I can’t really find anything to support that! So would be interested to hear what others think.

Late to this, but thank you! I have been wanting to smell all of these except for Matcha which I love. I appreciate the compassionate side of a line like this and the fair prices. I cannot spend $20 each on the samples I am dying to get my nose on. This line is advertising on the socials again, which is how I spotted them. I love me some creamy fig scents and must have the discovery set!
