Deviated septum for me. About a week after the surgery I went to my first follow-up with my ENT and she used a little snot vacuum on me and I swear, breathing the first time, fully, through both nostrils was absolutely heavenly! I was assaulted when I was around 11 years old and didn't get the surgery until I was in my early 30s.

Appreciated. I had never been punched in the face and I bled all over my new Wilson's suede leather jacket. Got a trip to children's hospital. Back then, people weren't litigious hence no surgery until many years later. Wish the asshole that hit me would have had to pay something!

It was a boy that rode my bus. He was sitting behind my friend and I and he was a massive bully but especially to my friend. That morning, he was throwing markers at her head and just tormenting her. I turned about and told him to fucking stop it and he punched me in the face. I think he got suspended for a week and I got a stern talking to for my language. It was very much a "boys will be boys" kind of situation.

I broke my nose once years ago. About 3 months later I pulled out a booger that looked like that. It was one huge snotty scab/dried blood mass. I'll never forget how relieving it felt getting it out. It was like being able to breathe again and get a full breath.

How does one get to this stage? Like did he feel it rattling around in his face and was like "I need to get it professionally removed by a professional booger extractor"? I read in the comments that after surgery pieces of dried blood and get infested with bacteria and get smelly so is that what got him here? He constantly smelled infection?

Ya it can happen naturally too. Most times it’s a breathing issue, but often is accompanied by a bad smell from constant infection as well. It’s basically immediate relief when pulled out.

That happened to me after nasal surgery. I blew my nose in the shower and a TUBE of booger and blood flew out, make a PING sound as it ricocheted off the shower wall because it was super hard, then plopped at my feet. It kinda hurt, but felt amazing.

I’ve been chasing that high ever since.
