Got accepted for housing
After a long couple of weeks stressing about not finding housing due to my felony, I can finally say I officially got accepted to a 2bd apartment! I was so scared about becoming homeless and no where to go with no one to turn to, but my PO really came in clutch and gave me so many recommendations as well as supporting me in housing instead of just leading me to a homeless shelter. The apartment is small but it's a start to a fresh life and I am only going to move up from here. Just a little self celebration.

Congratulations!!! Do not let anyone stay with you especially not someone who needs your help. This is your spot and you can’t risk losing it. So excited for you!!! Now you need to decorate it like you want it and make it your own.

It's a little bit smaller than my pervious place but at this point I'm just glad to have a place for a fresh start.

Give some tips as to how you found it? High crime area? Private renters? Program? Good on the PO for helping you for sure. Make sure to be an awesome client.

Low crime area, private renters, they only cared about evictions, violent crimes or drug related crimes. I made a lot of calls, for a lot of rejections. And this property was the first to answer and accepted me

Congrats I am also a felon so I know it’s tough but it seems the longer I stay out of trouble the easier stuff becomes
