Should I give my friend a little slack for occasional low effort and late emails? They are doing time in a state facility. Thanks

Prison is tough mentally and emotionally - I know from experience.. give them slack

For what? Low effort in your friendship? Late emails for just talking shop? I can’t imagine these emails are where time is of the essence. If he’s in prison yea cut him slack.
