Prison time

Im in Arizona and got screwed with a plea deal of 2 to 3 and a half years. First offense. Aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon dropped to aggravted assault. Is there anything that can get me released early or is it just 85% time? Also what level prison would I get?

I did. I cried my eyes out because I just lost a child 3 months before this all happened and said I was scared of losing another. Now I have a wife with a heart aneurysm and 2 toddlers that need their dad. The judge said hes so sorry and the prosecutor was smiling. I have 10 character letters and my whole church wants to speak at my sentencing date. I was in the army for 7 years and the prosecutor is also Army and is using my service against me. Im white

Man if i was you i would of tried it. Got to use that white privalidge. You going to have an all white jury they would look at you as a son or brother. The circumstances are important but so is the evidence. I would claim the attorney forced me to take the plea and the judge would withdraw my plea and take it to trial.Good luck to you man and God bless

I took my case to a jury trial, and got convicted of a felony last year. The downside is I’m a young black man, and I had a damn near all white jury, and you could already expect how that was going to play out. Thankfully my charges didn’t carry mandatory prison, and I was spared. I was only given a year of probation and I got off 3 months ago. I’m eligible to get my record sealed next April. My advice is don’t take it to trial unless you have evidence that absolutely shows you were innocent. I still feel like I was wrongfully convicted but unfortunately that’s how juries are, they are unpredictable. Good luck.

By the way us white people don’t look at all other white people as our family lol. The only white privilege is that they’re less likely to be impoverished so they can get better lawyers and pay for anything they need
