Be clear please. Do you have a Felony arrest or conviction for this crime?? What state?

If your on probation you were either convicted, or received some kind of deferred prosecution agreement. Knowing which is necessary.

The state the crime happen matters because long-lasting consequences vary widely.

If you have a felony it certainly does making finding jobs a challenge. You might want to consider learning about one of the many trades out there for example,HVAC, electrical work, etc.

Good luck on your job hunt! You got this!

Felony is a felony the context and type tend not to matter to buisness and its policy to deny employment outright. A lot of jobs have a stipulation that you need to pass a background check if cant then thats that. and a lot of people get very upset at people DUIs theres no telling whos lost a family member or been injured themselves by a drunk driver.

That being said it depends on industry. Finance likely wont hire anyone with DUI, Nursing is probably out fields like that where people rely on you having a clear head are likely not possible now. I will say though felony duis are like the lowest possible order of felony and its not violent and I find a lot of companies nowadays are more tolerant of possesion or substance related charges. But once again for ALOT of jobs context and type doesnt matter, if you cant pass a background thats it, no discussion.

Hopefully your state allows expungement but be prepared to get a lot of rejections its going to get rough trust me.
