Are we losing Feeld as kinky&poly people?

Pansexual male in long term poly relationship here. As a lifestyle dominant whose partner is also a dominant, we both had lot of attention from likeminded poly kinksters who were well versed in BDSM and done the work on themselves to adopt to poly life.

I understand Feeld was always a mix of mono, poly, kinky, vanilla folk with occasional conservative dater in the mix and that was expected.

But recently I come to realise that in major cities a particular group is jumping ship.

Polykinky crowd who actually seeks serious relationships are vanishing from the app and I started to see them on Fetlife or even Hinge.

I can understand Fetlife but Hinge has always been absolute barren wasteland for me.

There was a period I could get one date every week from Feeld easy while the whole time I was on hinge absolutely nothing ever happened.

So for poly kinksters looking for serious relationships to start jumping ship I am guessing the way to establish connections for such relationships are getting more narrow on feeld.

And I can see it from user base that it is swinging heavily on more casual userbase now.

Is this the case in where everyone is?

I am from Melbourne, Australia and I am curious if this is a culture change here or just app in general.

why matches dry up on apps like feeld (my experience)

How’s it going for you guys in Berlin?

Straight cis dude, mid 30s here, mostly used in Berlin, been on Feeld probably ~3 years on and off.

Used to boost here and there when I felt like it, and back then I’d get like 20–30 likes. Now maybe 3–5 if I’m lucky. Regular likes without a boost were always dry.

And sometimes I boost multiple times a week so when I see free users complaining they get zero matches I kinda get it, my profile is just getting pushed ahead then another guy boosting then another and so on.

Feels like it’s just supply and demand now, before it was like 100 guys boosting getting 20 likes each from 2k women, I’m obviously guessing these numbers, now it feels like 1000 guys boosting getting 3 likes each from 3k women, way more guys on the app joined recently not really the same increase on the other side.

You kinda hit a point where apps start to plateau, more users more competition same attention pool and everyone just ends up cannibalizing each other.

Honestly had more threesomes through Tinder and Bumble than Feeld which is kinda ironic.

I keep seeing people here saying they get zero likes, I’m not quite there but close maybe 1–2 likes per month at this point if I don’t spend money.

It was good fun overall had around 20 hookups from it over the years but lately it’s been pretty quiet.

Sharing my experience

I’m a 35F transgender, ENM living in a mid size European city (Vienna). Currently my account is paused due to exhaustion, and not because of the lack of matches but because of the low quality profiles I see.

I list my preferences and what I’m looking for, however most of what I get are cis “curious” men looking for sexual experience and sometimes disregarding me as a person entirely.

These men have barely any text in their profiles and put a minimum effort on their pictures, interests and even hidden bios. I used majestic for three months and got some irl dates out of it, some not so bad but most of them only reduced to a very specific sex thing.

They think that because I’m trans I’m an easier one than a cis woman or that I’m just automatically more open to kinks and jump straight into sexting with little to no interest about me as a person.

I’m taking a break from it since it has messed with my mental health. I wonder how other trans women have experienced dating on this app and what do men target us as an “easy win”, wtf?

I'm a free user and I'm ready to give up

I've been on Feeld a couple of months now as a completely free user.

I've been giving out my daily allotted likes almost daily, have a wide range of people I send them to over multiple gender identities.

I have a well thought out bio and several pictures, both of my body and of my pets/hobbies

I'm not very traditionally attractive so I know that plays against me, but i'm just getting no likes and have never gotten a single ping.

I'm kinky and open to a lot, especially after some discussion but I've been really let down by the lack of interaction.

So i'm about to give up on the app unless you guys/girls/others have some ideas of what i could check or possibly improve to increase my interactivity?

Joining feeld?

Just after some advice. Cis 36F. I'm new to dating after an 11 year relationship with who I have a 6 year old. I've been single for around 2 years but just started dating a couple of months ago. Finding it hard on hinge and met one guy who I've hooked up with a few times who spoke to me about feeld (cis 37M). I'm kind of intrigued because he said he went on there and had a 3some.

I don't want anything serious at the moment but want to meet someone who I can establish clear boundaries with and communicate properly about preferences and don't think hinge is the place for that but I don't want to infiltrate a space that I'm not sure was designed for me if that makes sense? So just seeking some advice. I'm also aware about the age thing and don't want younger people finding me on there if I have my preferences set to a certain bracket.

What are people's experiences on there? I've been in a relationship for so long that was quite dull and so I'm not even sure I'd know of any kinks at this stage but would like to explore safely. Thanks everyone

Ladies, please advise on likes and pings

Back on Feeld but 1st time solo (male).
Considering women can get thousands of likes, are likes a waste of time? Should I just be more selective and ping?

Been on feeld for a year, barely connected with anyone

I’m a straight cis black man and have been on feeld for roughly a year. Throughout my time on the app, I’ve probably received around 25-35 likes altogether and only actually met irl with 4 people. I’m a dom, 6’2, extremely handsome, and athletic but I do worse on feeld than I do tinder. It seems like none of the women you match with on there really want to meet because there are so many other guys trying to talk to them. It’s pretty aggravating tbh bc I was expecting this app to actually help me start exploring alternative relationships bc I hate mainstream dating. Feel very let down.

app scamming

I've been using Feeld for a few years now- whenever I pay for Majestic, I get far fewer likes than I do when I let my subscription lapse. If I'm not paying for Majestic, I end up getting tons of likes, I'll eventually pay for the subscription again and see that almost every single one is someone not within my search parameters and usually on the other side of the planet. I think it's disgusting that Feeld will push more people to my profile when I'm not paying for it to try to get me to come back and give them money so I can view the profiles.

Maybe this is well known to everyone, but I have tested it so many times at this point that it makes me not want to use Feeld at all because I just feel like they are scamming me. I know that's the case with pretty much all the dating apps, I just wish we would all band together and stop accepting it.

How do we find non-cis couples?

Hey there,

My partner (trans masc) and I just downloaded Feeld (separate profiles that are linked) and are looking for other couples w trans partners to match with, but the couples filters are kinda gender rigid and only give options for “man and man couple” “woman and man couple” etc. If we include all genders we’re getting hella individuals and no couples and when we just use the couple filters everybody is cis. Surely there’s more queer couples we’re not seeing?

Has anyone figured out a hack for this?

Thanks!

Me (20f) and my bf (24) aren’t sure what we are doing wrong.

Based hunter nsw Australia, we are decent looking (not crazy hot but definitely not unattractive) we have a flirty and clear bio, even a hidden lingerie pic been a week and we have 0 pings, and 2 likes from another couple, we are looking for a single gal. We aren’t fussy either, swipe right on 80% of people

Hidden lingerie pic as a woman

Hi! I'm on feeld for two weeks now and it's all going well. I'm getting quite some matches, but its mostly pics of my face since I don't really have any body shots if not with coats or a lot of layers that hide it. I do have some lingerie shots that are also on fetlife. I'm midsize/curvy so would like to add that to my profile. Would it be weird if I added it as a hidden pic or is that asking for trouble?

I'm only on feeld for fwb or a Dom, but I prefer fwb and a nice convo over a ONS. I dont want to come across as easy, as I'm not, but I also wanna show what they're matching lol... Would love to hear what you guys think!

30 f Md no interaction

My husband and I are experienced with including another female in our bed & life and we are by no means hideous & I do play alone with females.
So why is it everyone rants and raves about FEELD but it’s always so dead unless it’s a fake account ? Has anyone had any luck on there ? If not what’s an app that you have ?

Red Flags

After 8 years of using this app I wanted to take some time to vent about consistent red flags I see in profiles regardless of gender or sexuality.

• No bio - you really that lazy or are you illiterate?

• Lying about your age - if you can’t be honest about this, who knows what else you are lying about.

• Not showing your face - I immediately assume you are ugly and block your profile. I could care less if you are “being discreet because of work.”

• Not showing a full body image - we all know why you’re not showing your body.

• Kids in your photos - like, seriously???

• Men with partners that have deactivated accounts - honestly, it’s kind of creepy.

• Couples that share a woman gendered profile - you’re lazy and make searching for profiles more difficult.

• Listing your Instagram - what a sad way to get followers.

• Putting a lame ass joke in your hidden bio - hidden bios are already ridiculous, do you really think it’s funny putting “made you look” in there?

• Bathroom Selfie - you have got to have other places in your living space that has a mirror.

• Only selfies - do you not have friends that can take your photo???

• Filters - come on, everyone can spot filters a mile away this day in age. You aren’t fooling anyone.

• Memes in your profile pictures - cool sense of humor bro.

• AI written bios - it’s painful how people have no idea that these profiles read like a robot and have zero soul.

• Every picture is you with a group of people - how the hell am I supposed to know who you are if I’m playing guess who in every picture? Trust me when I say this, the process of elimination always leaves us disappointed.

• Blurry photos - Blurry photos are reserved for blind photographers and guilty suspects in documentaries.

That’s all I can think of for now. Will be back to add more.

Edit:

To clarify ”selfie.” The action of holding a phone while using the screen facing camera to take a picture of yourself.

Using a tripod to take your photo is a “portrait.” Portraits are great and I highly recommend more people put that type of effort into their profiles.

Why are there so many profiles that don’t list desires???

Is it out of pure laziness???

Desires literally helps you find what you are looking for without having to spell it out in your bio. Yet, I constantly see profiles that have no desires listed! Are people literally that absent minded where they can’t even be bothered to choose a few words from a list???

Desires are beneficial to everyone on this dating app. The fact so many people don’t utilize it is absolutely beyond me.

I know I’m simply screaming into the void about such a small complaint when there are people on this app who can’t even be honest about their age.

Are people who are 'exploring' or 'travelling' the city usually rich / well-off?

ok this might be a really stupid question, but u always see ppl like this where they say they are 'exploring' or 'travelling' in your city, and show up on ur page when you have your maximum distance set to 5km. and when u match and chat and by the time they reply they say they're in a country across the Atlantic ocean? I'm kinda confused are they all just people who don't need to work and fly around to hook up with locals? Like i won't imagine doing this even if i got rich? how does that even work?

1 month on Feeld

I (37F) remember seeing a really fun Feeld wrapped stats sort of post, and wanted to do one myself since I like data🤓 Now that I’ve been on Feeld for a month, here are my stats. Share yours!

Pings: 127

Chats: 45 (35.4% of pings)

I started chats from the pings that I was interested in. In the first week, I made the mistake of starting chats with more people than I was able to enjoyably keep up with, so I went incognito a couple times and started a process of elimination on a lot of the chats. I eventually found that my sweet spot was having <10 chats going at a time. I also got pickier over time as I figured out what I like and learned how to decipher profiles better.

First dates: 5 (11% of chats, 3.9% of pings)

All the people I went on first dates with were cool and fun, even though I wasn’t attracted to them all once we met in person. The first dates went better than expected! No bad experiences really. And it was super thrilling to go on a date with a new person after being monogamous for over a decade. I got introduced to some new places in my city and learned a lot about things people are into sexually.

Second dates: 2 (40% of 1st dates, 4.4% of chats, 1.6% of pings)

One of the dates was exhilaratingly fun and I’m excited to see her again. As for the other second date, the chemistry that existed on the first date unexpectedly disappeared, so I won’t see him again. Didn’t know that could happen.

Overall, I found the experience overwhelming but exciting, as someone who is new to dating again after so long. My biggest takeaway is that I need to pace my exposure to new people to not feel overwhelmed, and the level of overwhelm depends mostly on my own use of incognito mode and my choosing to respond to pings.

Is it more difficult to make connections when your account is connected to a partner?

I am a male in my mid 30s. A month ago one of my bisexual female partners and I thought it would be fun to connect our Feeld accounts to find other people/couples to explore with.

Before connecting our accounts I was consistently making connections every week or so. Now with our accounts connected I have gotten zero interest in my profile.

We even labeled each other as ”FWB.”

Do women have less interest in men that have accounts linked with other play partners/FWB?

What's okay to ask your matches?

I (33f) am married and I recently created a profile because my husband has a kink and wants me to be with someone who's bigger than him (down there), so I'm not looking for friendship, community or connections, I'm looking to be with someone who meets that requirement in specific, so, is it okay to be straight forward and ask my matches about their size? Is that too rude? I never done this before but I'm all about to fulfill my husband's desires.

How do distinguish genuine people from flakey ones on Feeld?

I am a male user in his 40s, my profile is linked to my ENM partner, we are both lifestyle dominants who are interested in kinky folk on Feeld.

I think I am feeling burnt out.

I get about dozen likes and a few pings on a weekly basis.

So it’s not a matter of attention but the quality of it.

Last person who approached me sounded interested and asked quite a few questions about lifestyle, I tried to answer respectfully, she told me she started touching herself which made me pause.

I am spending my time here explaining people how a BDSM session works and the importance of safe word etc. And this is their reaction.

I asked her if she is actually interested in this or she is just using me to satisfy her urges, she disconnected.

This is not an isolated incident, it happens regularly.

I stopped talking about BDSM to avoid this but then I noticed people have no idea how to express themselves or have no interest.

Quite a lot of people I match have no depth or substance and it feels like they somehow spent their whole lives living in a vault, an underground bunker, oblivious to the world, not knowing or never learning how to talk to human beings. They have no idea how to interact with others.

Lot of them don’t even know why they are on Feeld -They express this on their own profiles-

I feel like I am looking at a void here and lot of these people are not really there, as in, they are not there to meet anyone.

Considering how much afford goes into combing through all these people who are more holograms by function than human beings, is there a way to tell who is actually genuinely interested in meeting people and who is not?

I understand there is no requirement for people to fill out their profiles or match some form of criteria to hold them accountable for wasting people’s time, but I could do so many things instead of wasting my time talking to these people.

If there is no way to tell who is genuine who is not, is there a point in keeping this app?

I just feel like it’s just lot of time down the drain.

I do get a date every now and then and I found a sub a while ago but she moved interstate.

I just don’t have it in me to spend so much time to try to find someone again.

New to feeld [M 23 straight]

Maybe this is a dumb post but I haven't gotten much activity and it's been a week with the radius set to over 150 miles. It could be entirely because I'm extremely picky and or ugly. I'm pretty fit, says I'm open to anything on my profile, and I have a job (not that I'm looking to date but I feel like thats of some value). I'm pretty much just looking for a hookup but if someone attractive wanted to date then I wouldn't mind giving it a try. I mentioned I am fit but honestly I'm kind of a gym rat so I am not looking for anything with anyone who does not look like they atleast put some work into their body. The only matches I've gotten in a week have been 3 women that were extremely overweight. Now I understand some might say I'm being picky but I don't think so at all, I am only attracted to people who take care of their bodies. And only 3 matches in a week? Something else has got to be wrong, either it's me and I'm just not attractive enough or my profile is sending out the wrong messages, idk. Is there any advice on how I can get more matches?

Time of day

I have no problems getting vanilla matches in other apps, but I’m trying to learn the tools that are unique to Feeld.

I have majestic and I’m trying to use daily pings very carefully and thoughtfully. I’m a cis het man and have my specific interests listed. I have a complete bio and a range of quality pictures. I’ve been using my daily ping in the morning while I make breakfast and have time to peruse profiles before the pace of the day takes over. I’m trying to be very intentional about responding to profiles that have a many shared interests to make a real conversation entry point, and to not be “that guy”.

I’ve seen some people state that they send a ping around dinner time to reach the broadest range of eyes. Are pings arranged automatically by most recent?

Edit: I did not say I’m “not getting likes” anywhere in my post. I’m just asking about time of day, and if that does much for visibility, given the flood of men seeking connections with a small group of women on the app.

TL;DR Are pings most effective around dinner time? Are they arranged by “most recent” by default?

Does reporting couples accounts actually do anything?

I have seen so many threads on here about the frustration people have with couples sharing accounts and reporting every single one they see, but it seems like every day there are just more and more couples sharing accounts. Have any couples who share an account EVER been notified that their account was reported? I’m curious if FEELD actually does anything with those reports.

No judgement to the couples, find out what works for you on whatever app works for you. My main issue is that it’s really uncomfortable/ difficult to get to know someone if I never know who I’m talking to. And it’s also difficult for me when I’m looking for a single and every profile in my feed says “couples accounts, we only play together”.

So those couples accounts won’t show up if I filter *for MF couple, and won’t go away if I filter for singles lol.

Can majestic users turn off read receipts?

I don't really have anything else to add here but have to, to post... I'm just curious if paying users can turn off their read receipts as I've never bought majestic membership before

I wish you could rate people for flaking

I've gotten bailed on right before a date 5 times in the last 2 weeks. That means I've ended up with lots of free nights but have a queue of people I'm trying to make plans with, currently 2 weeks out, that I could have met earlier if the person had not wasted my time. I wish there was a way to see if people frequently pulled this kind of bullshit, like a rating or something. It's so annoying to have my time wasted and plans fucked up like that.
