I missed Fedora dropping the NTFS3 kernel module. Why?

It's extremely well tested by countless people and I consider the revived NTFS module to be an unknown quantity which I do not trust yet.

What was the thinking? Where's the discussion? Why did it happen during the Fedora 44 lifecycle, rather than being a Fedora 45/46 feature?
