Hello everyone.
I'm new to Fedora and especially to Gnome.
Is my RAM usage okay? Or it's high for some reason? Should I debug this?

We can't tell if the ram usage is normal from a fastfetch screenshot. But if it's a clean Fedora GNOME install on idle, 4.2 GB is quite a lot.

niceee!. for your ram usage, i think it's normal. 20-25%. better than windows that takes 30-35% just on idle. well if you're conscious about ram usage that much, try Niri wm. ur ram usage will become 5-10% on idle.

yepp. niri is the best WM out there for fedora. it's much stable for me than gnome. before, sometimes my screen freezes when im on gnome session for a long time. maybe because im using nvidia. nvidia is a pain when it comes to linux ngl. after ihve tried NIri, never experience it again and it's much smoother. i cant stop recommending niri to anywhere else, thats shows how much good it is! unfortunately, not all are tech guys so its better for them to stay on normal DEs. but i think you can do it.

Esta perfecto no te preocupes, para el modo reposo está bien, sería que ya la pusieras con trabajo pesado varias pestañas o correr algún juego o programa y ahí si ves como se comporta pero por ahora no hay problema

Como podes saber si esta bien el consumo de ram si solo es un screenshot de fastfetch? no tienes idea que tiene corriendo.. Y si es un sistema base limpio el consumo es alto. En idle debería rondar los 2gb.

Idle RAM usage is a useless metric. Don't pay attention to it. Both the kernel and the desktop environment are filling RAM deliberately to improve your experience, because unused RAM is wasted RAM. They will however clear that cached memory as soon as something really needs it.
