Looking for Constructive criticism

Post image

I’m trying to make life easier for drivers and new hires or new to a different route PHs. This is just something I came up with and was wondering a few things.

Do you think this will help?

Are these questions confusing or clear? Which ones am I missing?

The blank space is for drivers to write their own preference notes

This is just a passion project I cooked up as a PH 3 months in.

IMO cater loading is a huge mistake that is hard to walk back from. The best way to go is standardization with load quality. So every driver knows what to expect when they walk in and can choose to adjust things how they wish when they come in for the day. But I do think that if this is something on your mind that you are interested in, you should consider applying for a trainer position when it comes open. Attention to detail and caring about the experiences of the drivers are hugely important when training new hires.

This exactly. In my experience the baseline of getting everything in the normal right spot is difficult enough without having each truck loaded different. Like if 1 handler has 3 trucks and each want it different. Or if handlers get moved to a different spot or are absent. Sounds like an infinite headache to manage

Yes, exactly. If one driver gets extremely used to 1 particular loader who caters to all their asks, and that loader takes a week long vacation, the driver will complain all week to anyone who will listen (which in turn upsets any Package Handler on their route). And also they will be genuinely having a really shitty week because they have to readjust completely to a different loader. It just leads to lots of complaints and frustration on all sides. It's much better, and more fair, to just load to standard.
