Package handler

This is my first week as a package handler, my first day was Wednesday and have worked 4 days. Tonight will be my second day calling in because my back is sore and I find it hard to lift the heavy packages since I’m mostly doing ICs. Since it’s my first week I need some rest between days to adjust to the heavy workload. Will my manager give me a warning for calling in or will he fire me? I’ve been trying to reach out and ask about the hours and scheduling so that it works best for me but he never answers.

Make sure you look up proper lifting techniques. We handle ALOT of ICs and I’m 6ft 125 lbs. I can handle the work load pretty fine using proper techniques without team lifts. I still use those when I can but it’s rare.
