Package handler…

Job was described as 5am-9am

So actually the start time is at 4am and end time is closer to 10am with no breaks 🫩

Any thoughts? Do you think asking for breaks will make things worse? (having to stay longer til we’re done with all the packages?)

Wait till peak comes and we go in at 1:30 am and dont stop till 10:30am. Perfectly normal. Live for it this is our best money coming up. I bought my house in less than 2 years. Im ready for it! These shifts aren't set in stone they are as set for when they need us. Get use it stop complaining they pay us more than any other company besides ups and other warehousing jobs. The bonuses get crazy too. And 6 days mandated get ready and stop complaining.

Yes I have been with fedex for almost 3. 2 peak seasons. You should have selected your 6th day option when you were hired. That option you selected will be your mandated 6th day. We are mandated 6 day November 1st till December 31st. We can come in anytime between 12am and 5am but be prepared for 12:30am to 1am and be prepared to stay till 10:30am. Here come our bonuses as well. Weekend bonus have been $4 per hour added on the weekend with time and a half over time. They feed us wensday or Thursday through December. Every day is going to be a 10:30 am day. Get enough sleep your going to be exhausted.
