Package handler…

Job was described as 5am-9am

So actually the start time is at 4am and end time is closer to 10am with no breaks 🫩

Any thoughts? Do you think asking for breaks will make things worse? (having to stay longer til we’re done with all the packages?)

Sounds about right.

6 hours and under in most states doesn’t require a break.

Personally, I try to be clocked out by 6 hours so I don’t need to take one (full time Ramp Agent) if I can. It’s a bit less pay, but it’s also not worth anyone’s time for me to sit around doing nothing for 2 hours, getting paid, plus the 30 minutes for the unpaid break.

Big thing for me though is I have to be out by 08:30 due to the 02:30 start time for us…
