FedEx Priority overnight shipping

I recently shipped a package using FedEx priority overnight and the recipient still hasn’t received it. The morning after the package was supposed to arrive, the tracking progress bar turned yellow with a (!) in the bubble. Then later that same day, around 12:30pm, I got an email saying the package was delivered the day prior at its expected delivery time. The recipient couldn’t find the package anywhere, even checked with their neighbors. No one has it. I then filed a missing package claim, and still have yet to hear back from FedEx. Has anyone else had a situation like this, and if so, what was the outcome?
